Self Catering Accommodation in Merzig

It was really great! From my side, it’s 10/10. I loved everything.

Arrived at the place and the (lovely) host met us approx. 15 mins later to let us in and give us the key. Good value for money. Very clean and tidy (looks like it had been refurbished recently). Really comfortable beds. Had a kettle in the kitchen so we could make a decent cuppa (bought our own tea bags !). Also had a pod coffee machine with 6 pods. Bathroom was like a wet room and was fabulous. Decent secure parking at the rear of the property - we parked our motorbikes under cover out the back and locked them all together.

Very friendly host and very well decorated rooms! This is the best place our family ever stayed during our trip and we would like to visit again!

Michael, the host was very accommodating. He left a small welcome basket of goodies and the apartment was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. We only stayed one night as a stopover on our way to Belgium, but the apartment was set up well, so that a longer stay would have been quite comfortable.

Upon entering the apartment we had a real WOW feeling. The place looks as if we were the first people to stay there. Everything in perfect order. The place is heaven for gadget lovers with a fancy coffee machine (tastes real good!), 2 TVs, a Sonos and more. The wifi worked perfectly and we could charge our electric car. The bedrooms are comfortable and the shower was warm and looked brand new. The environment was very quiet, we did not hear a thing at night. Absolutely a place to recommend and come back !

We rented this property for a group of seven women on a rowing trip, and it suited us very well. The house is an older, modernised property offering spacious and comfortable accommodation. There was ample room for everyone, and although we shared bedrooms, the rooms were large and comfortable. The long kitchen table with comfortable seating was ideal for all seven of us to dine and spend time together. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, including two refrigerators (one with a large freezer), quality glassware for beer and wine, and an automatic bean-to-cup coffee machine. A particular highlight was the air conditioning in each room, which was individually controlled and very effective for comfortable nights. The house was very clean and thoughtfully equipped with practical details such as automatic night lights in the hallways and stairs, soap at the sinks, a modern washer-dryer, and a large drying rack on the upper terrace, which we used extensively for rowing and sports gear.

Everything went well, spacious modern apartment in an old charming house; also a good kitchen and private large parking. We were here in December, I can imagine that in Summer would be perfect with lots of green around the house and the swimming pool.

Everything was great but we did struggle to find the property. It is tucked around the back and definitely not obvious from the map.
