The apartment offers a children's playground. A car rental service is available at Casa Di Giovani. We liked pretty much everything there. There was spacious living room and two big bed rooms. Outside is small terrace accessible from living room where you can have your breakfast or dinner. There is also BBQ place under a olive tree. House is in Gournes area, pretty much in nowhere, in the middle of other houses and small fields. Main access is over dried out riverbed. It is in walkable distance from the coast and nearest beach. Truth is that nearest beaches are quite small and you definitely need a car to visit better beaches around like in Gouves or Kokkini Hani. You have to know that over all east coast from Heraklion is a corridor for planes descending to Heraklion airport so over day there are lot of plains landing over the house. But house has modern windows which can protect from most of the noise. Windows has also outside shades and mosquito nets. Kitchen in the house is spacious and 6 persons can sit around dining table. Only issue in the kitchen can be the height of the board which is in ~ 1m from ground (around 10cm higher than normal). Kitchen is well equipped. Manager or property is very communicative, don't hesitate to ask any questions. You will get tips where to eat or where is the nearest butcher. You can ask for baby crib and baby seat for dining.

The beds were extra big size the biggest I ever seen ,and the apartment was spotless with everything you need, very big and comfy, definitely a place were you want to come back. Guests can enjoy unobstructed views of the olive grove and surroundings from the furnished sun terraces. The property was beautifully maintained and the villa had everything we needed. We were the only family on site so it was very private. The olive trees surrounding the property was pretty cool. The host was super friendly and welcoming.
