Self-Catering Accommodations in Fakarava

I had a really pleasant experience - Tea is a great and attentive host and the bungalow is cozy and situated in a quiet location. Fine kitchen amenities for cooking - I was only missing the lid for the smaller pot. However, the best surprise for me was a stable and fast internet connection - I appreciate this mostly because I work remotely and occasionally I need to sync my pictures and videos (lot of them) to the cloud. Here, it was a breeze! Also, when I was leaving, my plane was departing in the afternoon hours - and since there was no other guest right after me, Tea was kind enough to let me stay until the afternoon hours and check-out later. All in all, highly recommended! Mauruuru :)

The house is clean, modern and very functional. It has everything you need and is well located.

The owners were very helpful with arranging a scooter rental and transportation to and from the airport. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was well stocked and we enjoyed making our breakfast in the morning before heading out for a day of scuba diving. Highly recommend!

Our stay was absolutely amazing – more than ideal! The newly built bungalows are absolutely beautiful: clean, stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully well-equipped with everything you need. The private beach and lagoon are magical - peaceful, pristine, and literally just steps away from your private, spacious front terrace. It’s a true slice of paradise. Isabelle and Kelly go above and beyond in every way. Their hospitality is unmatched—they are incredibly welcoming and immediately made us feel like family. From the moment we arrived, they took the time to learn about our interests and helped us book unforgettable excursions with awesome, trusted local guides. Isa and Kelly were always available, warm, and attentive, genuinely passionate about creating meaningful experiences for their guests. And Isabella’s cooking… wow! She brought us homemade breakfasts to our terrace each morning, plus a delicious homecooked dinner that was one of the best meals of our entire trip. Honestly, we originally planned to stay on the north side of the island, but choosing Fareana Lodge was the best decision we could have made. It’s serene, spacious, and feels like your own private paradise with the best hosts you could ask for. We felt lucky to stay on the more remote side of the island to see all that Fakarva has to offer. Isa and Kelly were truly a trip highlight, sharing their time, culture, and laughs. We can't wait to stay at Fareana Lodge again!

There is a lot to like about this property. We were there in June 2026. The pictures really dont show the fact that the bungalow is new or felt new. Appliances were all new, air conditioning worked great. The kitchen had everything you needed plus there were little things like cooking oil, vinegarette, coffee, tea, etc. Beds were comfortable including the sleeper sofa. The bungalow didnt have any gaps that you often see at the wall/roofline of bungalows on the islands. The bungalow had a tank of bottled water. The hosts were great and provided a breakfast with eggs for 2000 xph each. The hosts were very responsive before and during my stay. We also had two meals catered. We ate two meals at the restaurant at the harbor in town. Get there at 530 because they get busy. We brought fruit from Tahiti and if you are fruit and vegetable person, bring what you can from Tahiti. Only canned fruits and vegetables were available at the store while we were on Fakarava. Stars were great at night because we were away from town. We loved Fakarava and will return and stay at this bungalow although, we will rent a car. Bungalow is at PK 15. Keep in mind that beach PK9 is on other side of town so over an hour on scooter one way to get to beach PK9.

Quiet retreat outside of the main village with great amenities: pool, beach access, kitchenette, two beds. Market across the street for food supplies as restaurants were a bit far. Bike available to get to the village.

Thierry and Marie are amazing hosts and were attentive to all of our needs including airport pickups / drop-offs, transportation rentals (bike/auto) and local recommendations. The lodging includes a continental breakfast and is located in the center of town with easy, walkable access to restaurants and stores. The units were quiet and the view overlooking the ocean was nice.
