We had a wonderful stay in Aswan, and this place made the experience even more special. The host was very friendly and genuine, and his local knowledge was extremely helpful. He assisted us in booking different tours and rides, often at better prices than platforms like Viator. We booked a private felucca ride just for two people, which was a great experience, and also a private motorboat ride to the Nubian village, which was very enjoyable. He was attentive, responded quickly, and gave excellent restaurant recommendations both on and off the island. The location is on Elephantine Island, which can be reached only by ferry. The stay is very conveniently located, just a 3-minute walk from the public ferry point. Elephantine Island itself is peaceful and calm, with a small village vibe. The locals were friendly, and we felt completely relaxed—no one bothered us, which made the stay feel very safe and authentic. The room was clean and neat, exactly as shown in the photos. It also has a small kitchen, which was useful during the stay. One of the highlights was the amazing view. The room has a balcony overlooking the Nile, and spending time there enjoying the view was truly memorable. Overall, a peaceful stay with a great host, beautiful views, and an authentic Aswan experience. Highly recommended.

We very liked Abu Guest House. Abu and the staff (Abu's family) is very friendly and always available and helpful (giving advices). We also recommend the excursions that they are proposing: visit of Botanic garden, tombs of nobles, Nubian village. The Elephantine island is a quiet place that we liked very much. Thanks to Abu for his hospitality. We felt like at home.

We did everything by foot, including going to the temples. You can use the free shuttle from the airport to the temples to go to the apartment, as it will stop on the way. Perfect!

First of all, it's on a cute, quiet island 2 minutes by ferry (only 10 egyptian pounds/20 cents). We booked the rooftop flat which had everything we needed. The view over the Nile river is simply priceless ! The location, the view, the flat, the breakfast, the price and especially the owners, made our experience unforgettable! Plus, Doha helped us with all our tours (Abu simbel, boat rides, jabal abou el hawa, etc) at the best price. We cannot thank this family enough for the amazing 3 days we spent in Aswan and we're definitely coming back !
