Set 1.5 km from the town of Koli, Kolin Lotus Cottages are located close to Lake Pielinen. These self-catering, semi-detached cottages have a children’s playground and BBQ facilities. In my 35 years of travel history, never have I ever come across such a super, fantastic and humane host - extremely helpful, always available, going out of his way to ensure the guests’ comfort, extremely informative (better than google and chat gpt) AND refuses to accept any gift or reward (monetary or anything)! Tino - you are the BEST! Thank you for the magical island boat ride - it was paradise!!! And if it were not for you, I would have totally missed seeing Koli’s best aerial view - Räsävaara Observation Tower!!! The best sunset and island views ever !!! Great view, well cleaned and everything worked well. The contact person was easy to reach. It was super nice to swim in the lake after sauna. The pictures give a real picture of the house, extra plus for that.

The view to the lake from the cabin was incredible. Most windows were facing west allowing a nice sun set view on the lake Pielinen.

The location is not far from Koli National park and you can also book a horseback riding from them (if you wish, too- they have icelandic horses!). The property is ideal for anyone (solo traveler, couple, family, and friends) who would like to visit Koli. Also, the hosts are very friendly and very attentive.
