I had the pleasure of staying at Winterfell Chalet during my last day in Mestia, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. As someone who has visited the area for the past four years and stayed in various hotels and guesthouses, I can confidently say that Winterfell Chalet is a cut above the rest. While there are certainly areas where the chalet could improve, small details and the service, I have no doubt that the team at Winterfell is dedicated to continually improving their guests' experience. And that's why I'm giving them a perfect score of 10. And most likely I will be back next year!

If you want to sit around the fire place at night just inform the host, he's very kind and helpful and will also give you recommendations for further trips and your travels in Georgia. He's the only person who speaks English though, so make sure to ask for him and don't get frustrated with the other employees, they're also very nice, they just don't speak English. Highly recommended!

They welcomed us with a nice cold homemade wine. The host gave us tips on where to go locally, and we ended up in the sulfur waterfall/river, which was amazing. The room was so cute, and all the animals walking around as well. Breakfast was also amazing. Can't say anything bad about this place!

Host speaks little English, but she is very very nice (we loved her) and will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. The kids speak English if needed. The bathroom is shared, but we never had to wait to use it. Room is comfortable. We had dinner there one night. Food was good, but it did not seem enough for two people after a whole day of hiking, so we needed to ask for something else, which they provided with no problem. Host can also provide a ride back to Mestia
