Everything was great. - The location is close to the harbor; - They arranged the transfer from the Airport and to the ferry; - They had a bike to rent for us; - They did our laundry at the same day; - We could use their fridge to store food. The staff was really helpful and friendly. A great choice for a night in Padang.

The staff is really nice and they help us with everything. We stayed there for 2 nights and the room was really good for the price that we payed. You got also breakfast with the booking. You have a double bed with private bathroom. They help us with the jungle trekking and we did 3 days jungle tour and everything went perfect, we saw a lot of animals and the guide was amazing. We also did a night trekking to see snakes and other animals that are more difficult to see during the day and it was amazing. Thanks to the team our experience in Bukit Lawang is a 10.

We had an amazing time at Mulia Homestay. The rooms are simple with everything you need. There is a kitchen where you can serve yourself with a nice breakfast. What really made the stay special for us were Anita and her family. She gave us great recommendations and they even took their time to show us around the city. They are great hosts! We wanted somewhere different to spend Christmas and came across Valhalla house online, the house was as amazing as it looks in the pictures and was right on the beach that you have to yourself! The house was clean & comfortable and had everything we needed - water, towels, cooking facilities etc! As the island was quite remote we were struggling to find how to get there and get around but Marcelo, the host, went above and beyond to help us out with flights and ferries. His communication was great, and he gave us some great food recommendations as well as a contact for surf lessons, which we all really enjoyed on Christmas day, and was just so helpful with all of the questions we had! Marcelo also put us in touch with a local, Dolman, who drove us to and from the airport, even though the roads were bad he made it so easy for us to get around by providing bikes at a really good price. Overall we had an amazing stay at Valhalla and would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing time on a paradise island, surrounded by local culture, beautiful beaches and lots surfing!!

This place is just amazing. So chill and peaceful — right in the middle of the jungle. There’s not a lot to do here, but honestly, that’s exactly the point. The people are super kind and show you a lot about local life. You’re completely surrounded by nature — it doesn’t get more authentic than this. We first stayed in the city, but I’d come here ten times over instead. I planned to stay one night and ended up staying two weeks. Absolutely loved it!
