I originally booked a cabin but upon arrival the manager who kindly picked me up from the airport mentioned during our conversation that a glass igloo had just become available that same night. Someone else had unfortunately cancelled because they couldn’t make it in time due to heavy snow. I felt incredibly lucky to be offered the upgrade. Choosing the glass igloo was absolutely worth it. especially if you’re into hunting the Northern Lights. The experience of relaxing comfortably while watching the sky above was unforgettable and made the trip feel truly magical. The cabin itself was also cozy and well maintained, and the hospitality throughout my stay was exceptional warm, personal, and genuine. This is a very popular place so I highly recommend booking well ahead of time. I just happened to be fortunate that night due to the unexpected cancellation. Aurora River Camp offers an amazing combination of comfort, great service, and unforgettable Arctic experiences. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Property was made accessible despite there being snow on the ground. The host came to greet us and ask if we needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble. The property was warm and had lots of windows to let in natural light. The bed was comfortable and the blankets & quilt made for a warm stay. There were good storage facilities and cooking facilities if you wanted to stay for a long trip. The local community and surrounding environment also helped make for a perfect location.
