Excellent hostel with great staff and owners! Arranged nice evenings for Christmas and New Year’s. Location is great, so close to the nice beach. Dorms are great with your own shelf, curtain, lamp, power outlet and space for hanging and storing things close to the bed. Dorms are quiet, nice area to hang out, friendly atmosphere. Pool is nice and clean. Best hostel I have stayed in and I have travelled continuously for 1 year! Very good breakfast buffet with excellent coffee! Stayed for three weeks so would have been nice if the breakfast would change a little bit once in a while (like boiled/scrambled eggs instead of fried).

Exceptional – 10/10 (and honestly 1–2 extra points for the outstanding service!) Our stay was simply excellent. If there were more than 10 points possible, Leo would absolutely deserve them for his hospitality and service. Communication already before arrival was wonderful – easy, friendly and relaxed. Leo is a genuinely kind and easy-going host who has been living on Koh Kood for quite some time and knows the island very well. He picked us up directly from the road and brought us to the accommodation. Upon departure, he even transported our luggage back up to the taxi. These small details really make a difference. The house is beautifully located in what feels like a coconut forest. You are completely surrounded by nature and have total privacy. These were the quietest nights we have experienced on our 2 month travel trough Southeast Asia – the only sounds you might hear in the evening are geckos. Otherwise, it is incredibly peaceful. At the same time, it is only a few minutes’ walk to one of our favorite beaches on Koh Kood. 3 different beaches are accessible on foot, where you can also find places to eat. Important to know: This is a self-catering accommodation. While some restaurants are reachable by foot, on Koh Kood you generally rely on a scooter. Leo helps with the rental and organizes everything smoothly. However, you should feel comfortable riding a scooter, as the road to the house runs partly through the forest and includes some bumpy gravel sections. It is absolutely manageable with a bit of experience, but worth mentioning. For us as a family, including our 6y old child, the stay was fantastic. Leo was always reachable, incredibly helpful, and seemed to anticipate our wishes before we even expressed them. He gave us great recommendations and made everything feel easy and stress-free. We truly felt taken care of and would come back anytime. Thank you again, Leo – we will not forget this stay and hope to see you again soon!

I loved this place so much. Driving the last 200 meters up to Alisa’s from the main tarmac road brought you through local area with hens, children and lastly at the very end of the road to the garden of Eden, that Alisa and her husbond David had created with outmost care and imminent taste for beauty and tranquility. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, besides my own back home. The peacefulness at Alisa’s was only enhanced by the occasional hens, hornbills and other birds, but besides these natural sounds, Alisa was quiet and totally peaceful. Now with WiFi, possible to rent their scooter, they can arrange all kinds of tickets, including shuttle to Bangkok or the airport with pickup directly at Alisa’s. I visited all the beaches at Koh Chang, and besides Klong Kloi at the very south, then Kai Bai beach had a secluded and intimate charm, that the other beaches could not match. Watching the bathing elephants in the morning was an experience of delight, seeing how much these great creates enjoyed the refreshment. Alisa’s is totally new and not only spotless, but also in very delicate and soothing colors. David and Alisa kept a discretion to my second daily visitors, and always made sure to be indoor when I came home accompanied. The only minor little inconvenience, is that I had to drive 3-4 minutes in the morning to reach Kai Bai beach for a morning swim, but the reward was instant, almost entirely alone on this beautiful beach with its tranquil and warm water.

I had a very pleasant experience at this accommodation. Everything was exactly as we hoped: clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The room was spotless, and all the facilities were in very good condition. The host is an extremely kind and helpful person, always available if we needed anything or recommendations. We felt welcome throughout our entire stay. The location is quiet and perfect for relaxation. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place!

The bungalow offers a world-class view. It is super classy and practical, and it is removed from the business of mass tourism. The hosts, Thomas and Gin, are kind and accommodating and will do their best to make you comfortable.

Just an awesome five days. We splurged a bit here and felt it was well worth it. If you are looking to be right on a strip of sandy beach or right near stores, this place isn't ideal. But the apartment was beautiful, the private pool was incredible, and there was a nice restaurant right nearby. We either walked to Chai Chet Beach or jumped a ride on the main street to beaches further afield. Even snorkeled one day from Pearl Beach to Chai Chet. Hosts were amazing, responsive, and always so kind and helpful!

Beautiful villa with a great plunge pool and only a few steps away from the stunning beach. Well equipped and it has the advantage of being looked after by resort staff who not only clean and maintain it regularly but are also on hand for help with other things. The owner is also local and went out of his way to help us - can’t fault anything!

Great host, and made my family welcome when arriving in the dark , pointed out everything in the area and home and would go the extra mile. Superb.
