Situated in Gujo, 46 km from Gero Station and 100 metres from Rensho-ji Temple, The Nomad Inn Gujo features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The house was very traditional and the street it was on was amazing, the water flowing through the town is one of the most peaceful experiences ever. Masa the host is the best I've ever had, he pointed out activities and events in the town and made a reservation for us for dinner. Ill definitely come again

Located within 35 km of Takayama Station and 38 km of Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village in Takayama, Yunohirakan features accommodation with seating area. Staying here felt like stepping into the heart of traditional Japan. The ryokan’s peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful onsen made it a truly unforgettable experience — one of the highlights of our entire trip. The rooms were elegant and comfortable, the hosts incredibly kind and welcoming, and every meal was a feast — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Thank you for the wonderful memories. Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. The warmest, most helpful staff who rushed out with towels and helped to wipe our stuff down upon knowledge that we were caught in the cold. The private room onsen was fabulous, everything was so clean, our ryokan was enormous and we had such a lovely stay. Would love to stay here again...

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. This is my 3rd visits to Takayama this year during different seasons and this trip is mainly as a base for visiting Kamikochi. I booked this inn away from city center to experience the hospitality of a small family-run inn and the dining experience with wine pairing. Auberge Hida no Mori didn't disappoint 🙏🤗

Offering traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths, Yatsusankan Over 6 years old is a 6-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. Best ryokan in best city (much better than Kyoto and Takayama) and we stayed in many before.

ひらゆの森別邸湯う香三蔵庵 is set in the Hirayu Onsen district of Takayama, 47 km from The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, 49 km from Matsumoto Station and 13 km from Kamikochi. Location, private onsen in the suite, kaiseki dinner is elegant and delicious, so is the delicious breakfast, both served in our room, it’s a great experience. The staffs are very warm and helpful. It gave free entrance ticket to the big public onsen which is a great extra benefit.

Set in Gujo, 民泊Azoo provides accommodation 5.8 km from Takasu Snow Park and 6.8 km from Dynaland Ski Resort. Really nice and cosy accommodation. The hosts were very friendly and went above and beyond to help us when we needed it. Highly recommend.

Apollon is situated in the Gujo Hachiman district of Gujo, 400 metres from Koko no mori Museum Yudokan, 400 metres from Saito Art Museum and 500 metres from Gujohachiman Kyuchosha Kinenkan. I loved that the property was located right on the river and in close proximity to everything.
