All the staff were outstanding in helping with our trip to this marvelous location in such a serene area of Portugal. My only regret is we did not arrange to stay in the hotel longer. Super help from our server for supper. John our server not only made our evening feel very special but he also made some wonderful suggestions for the rest of our trip including somewhere to find some cheese that we enjoyed with our supper. We both found the cod main course splendid. Your staff made this short stay for us feeling relaxed and ready to continue our journey.

Casa das Obras is an extraordinary property. An old mansion, dating back to the 16th century, but with all the modern comforts. Multiple relaxation rooms, excellently decorated. The breakfast room is a gem. We really liked our room, as well as the garden with the pool and the entire property. The host, Dona Amelia, was also very kind, who gave us a tour of the property and left cakes, tea and coffee for tourists all day. The bed was very comfortable, quiet, central location in the small town of Manteigas and free parking in front of the property. The town is a good starting point for going to the Serra da Estrela mountains and the alpine valleys.

Rafael, Marco, Patricia y Andrea nos atendieron súper bien. Rafael resolvió todas nuestras dudas y necesidades y siempre de buen humor. Andrea tiene un muy buen humor y nos hizo disfrutar mucho cada comida. Marco con muy buen humor y conocedor de vinos. Patricia siempre atenta y resolutiva. Un súper buen equipo, muy coordinado y brindando un servicio de calidad a los huéspedes. La infraestructura tiene todo lo necesario y adecuado para hacer de la estancia un buen momento: habitaciones equipadas con buena temperatura y un salón de juegos para tener un lugar para compartir.

This stay is beyond five stars. The place itself is amazing. The attention to detail and the dedication of the team is superb. Ana's greeting and tips were special, and it made our stay memorable. We were given an amazingly prepared breakfast with eggs from their own chickens (whom we were introduced to) fresh apples , and juice from their own garden also fresh local produce and some tasty cheeses! We wanted to use the sauna super late in the evening and Ana was very accomodating to our request, also the sauna worked very well. If you're close to Covilha, you can't miss this unforgettable experience from start to finish. We will definitely return!

The apartment was clean and comfortable...All amenities for a comfortable stay was available. .They were there to greet us and explained everything in detail. They arranged a nice, must visit, cheese making factory. The breakfast was excellent. Looking forward to our next trip. Thanks once again Paula and Marcia...you made our New Year Bright!
