Spa Hotels in Lorca

After a 6 hour drive (including stops) from Seville, we arrived at this beautiful Parador hotel situated in a castle on a hill for a one night stay. The staff were very helpful and our check-in went smoothly. Our room was spacious and well appointed with a lovely view over the valley. We had booked a treatment for my sister in the spa whilst I used the spa circuit facilities and we were both very happy with our choices. We had booked dinner in the restaurant and, after cocktails in the bar, we were shown to our table on the terrace with amazing views over the countryside. The meal itself was totally amazing and we had local dishes that we had never had before. Our waitress, Marina, was so lovely in explaining what we were eating and the whole experience was magical. We had a lovely breakfast the next morning that included `cooked to order' dishes. All in all, a wonderful experience at a Parador and we would definitely like to try others.

We stayed in 4 different hotels during our 14 day tour of Spain, Spa Jardines de Lorca was by far the best. Our room (303) had a fantastic view of Lorca Castle (worth a visit too) from our balcony. Cleanliness, room comfort and food were excellent. However, by far the best thing about the hotel was its staff. Quietly going about the business of keeping the hotel running perfectly, but always there when you needed the help. A special mention go to the reception staff who were excellent and the Breakfast room staff who managed to keep the whole place spotlessly clean even when they were busy. A great place to stay.
