Casa Canela is a beautiful little hotel close to the center of Barichara. It is very calm and quite, especially in the night. The patio is large, including two hammocks, a pool and several chairs, sofas and tables where you can relax. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We originally stayed at the hotel one night but enjoyed it so much that we returned for a second. The hotel is conveniently located just outside of San Gil. The room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had hot water which is a great bonus when traveling in the more rural areas. The food was excellent and affordable. We want to thank Mauricio who made us feel like home and made our stay very enjoyable.
