This is such an amazing place! We loved everything about it. It was very beautiful, very sophisticated, made with taste. Everything was clean and comfortable. The quality was excellent. Moreover, the owner was very helpful, patient and friendly. The breakfast was like a small celebration- very special. All round one of the best places I’ve ever been!

This property was the perfect venue for our large family to take a break. An oasis in a rustic rural location. Lots of room to accommodate a big family like ours with grandkids included. Everyone loved it. The pool, sauna and hot tub facilities were great. After a day exploring the local area we could chill out in the spa and enjoy drinks on the terrace. Amazing countryside location. The lake was teaming with fish. Watch out for the pike. Our bird app, merlin, registered 26 species of bird life. Some quite rare. We were lucky that the trees were bearing fruits. Oh and the local cider museum was 5 mins cycle ride away, and was fascinating. The cider was great too. The nearby villages were beautiful. Local bakers in Cauce produce the best ever croissants. The town of Lassey les chateaux had everything from supermarket to the the chateaux itself. Within approx 90 mins you have the stunning towns of Caen or St Malo. Steeped in history. Fabulous restaurants. Seafood heaven. We also made a visit to mont St Michel. Whilst we hit the summer peak regards numbers of tourists, it was stunning. Well worth the trip.

You step from a rather bland street into a hidden paradise that comes as a complete surprise. The hosts are awesome, and despite a language barrier, everything that needed to be was communicated clearly and efficiently. Highly recommended - best stay ever.

La Douce Halte was one of the most beautiful accommodation that we stayed in. Our room had an interesting concept of "no-doors" so it was very spacious, very clean and well designed, with modern furniture. We had everything in our room (even a portable speaker), a full equipped cooking area with a refrigerator, but the view through the roof windows got us hooked. The room being upstairs, you could admire beautiful green fields of the domain, hear the birds chirping by the pond and enjoy the fresh air while watching the sun set. 🌞 We asked for a breakfast outside, and we ate a delicios meal with a view like no other! The sauna inside our room was a big surprise and it was a nice way of relaxing. It was worth staying here and we regret that we stayed for only one night! 😅
