Boasting a bar and free WiFi, Wat Hotel & Spa Hida Takayama is set in Takayama. The property is located 2.1 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. This might be the best value hotel in Japan. The rooms are SO spacious and clean and comfortable. There is a fantastic gym located nearby (ask the front desk for a pass). The rooftop onsen were amazing, and there were private family ones available too. Free drink nightly (a draft beer or juice). Decent breakfast spread. And easy enough location from the station and the big tourist spots. My partner is very tall and even he was comfortable here!

Spa hotel Alpina ima povoljnu lokaciju, na samo 3 minuta hoda od Železničke stanice Takajama. Objekat poseduje spa centar i spoljašnje kade sa termalnom izvorskom vodom i živopisnim pogledom. The staff are very professional and kind, beds were huge and the room was very big with new furniture. There are 2 smoking spaces inside the hotel and the onsen is awesome, open till 1 am. The location is great, near everything in Takayama, 4 minutes from station. We really enjoyed staying there.

The location was out of the way from the Nakasendo Kaido but everything about the hotel was great. The onsen was very nice-the water or whatever was put in the water was great for the skin. The dinner and breakfasts were amazing.

Featuring 2-Michelin stars, a public hot-spring bath and beautiful views of Japan’s Northern Alps, Hotel Hotaka is situated in the in the vast wilderness of Okuhida, just a 2-minute walk from... The onsen was beautiful as the location near the the mountains was fantastic. It was not a new and shiny place but felt like a wonderful way to experience a traditional Japanese resort with access to spectacular walking in the alps.

Featuring beautiful sceneries of the woods, Ryu Resort and Spa is located in the tranquil Shokawa Highland area, a 50-minute drive or free shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station (reservation needed). Staff were attentive, food was good and the open air onsen made the experience very memorable. They also had kids Yukata and a small play area.

Only a 1-minute walk from the Ogaki Train Station, APA Hotel Ogaki Ekimae offers modern accommodations with free wired internet access in all room. I liked a lot the location, very close to the station so easy to move to cities around like Gifu.
