We loved the private onsen and booked it most nights. The view of the mountains from our window was particularly magical. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We were sad to leave. Hakuba Mominoki Hotel is located between snow peaks in Hakuba Valley, a 5-minute drive from Hakuba Station. The 4-star hotel offers an outdoor natural hot-spring bath, free Wi-Fi and 3 restaurants. The staff were always keen to help. Whether it related to restaurant bookings or shuttle pick up or speaking with my ski school- the staff always showed initiative and a desire to ensure my comfort.

It had such cozy, intimate vibes, and everyone was kind and respectful. We all thoroughly enjoyed the hot bath after a long day riding, and the staff were so kind and thoughtful. They helped us with dinner reservations and transport, even making us breakfast on our last day. We were so touched and completely blown away by their hospitality! The lodge is also very clean and has everything you could need. They also offer a paid shuttle service to each of the ski resorts in the area, so getting around wasn’t a problem. I highly recommend this place!

Extremely accomodating and friendly staff, went above and beyond expectations. The bath was a wonderful bonus after a long day on the mountain. 5 min walk to Hakuba Goryu.

Stayed 4 nights leading up to new years for a family ski trip. Rooms are a little outdated but well kept, bathrooms are private (huge plus over shared options around the area, good soaking tub), good ski in/out access to Happo one report (right next to Shirakaba 2 lift, can ski downhill a bit to reach Gondola), decent public bath with hot dry sauna. Very friendly staff.
