Opened in 1878, The Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. The customer service is exceptional, they make you feel welcome, the rooms are like the photos, the breakfast is complete and very tasty. It is true that it is expensive, but it is worth it, we would definitely stay there again.

We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the selection of bath salts and quality amenities. It made our stay feel extra special. The complimentary bikes were a fantastic bonus and allowed us to easily explore the local area at our own pace. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay. We would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and great service.

One of the best hotel experience I’ve stayed so far. Spacious, clean and new. Love the onsen at the balcony. Love the cosy lounge with the generous complimentary snacks and drinks. We love to chill out there after dinner. Kaiseki meals were good. Stayed there 3 nights and no repeated dinner menu. Walking distance to train station and Gora park and eateries. Polite staff everywhere.
