From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in an environment of luxury and warmth. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful, with attention to detail in every corner. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the world-class service from the staff. Every team member we encountered was super polite and helpful, but two individuals truly went above and beyond: Mr. Roshan and Ms. Kaveesha. Their professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help were evident in every interaction. They provided top-class customer service, anticipating our needs and ensuring every aspect of our visit was perfect. Ms. Kaveesha Gayathree's cheerful and kindful nature was a delight, and Mr. Roshan Hettiarachchi's courteous and efficient service was remarkable. Super Kindful they were! We enjoyed our time at the hotel so much, and a large part of that is thanks to them. The bottom line is that The Golden Crown is a gem—a super beautiful place powered by a team that treats guests like family. We really had a pleasant and lovely stay at Villa Rosa. Due to the hotel’s location, we had a fantastic view of the Mahaweli Ganga and the surrounding nature. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and furnished with great attention to detail. We were particularly impressed by the exceptional attentiveness of the team and the owner, as well as their helpfulness and hospitality. From the moment we arrived, everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They were always ready to assist with anything we needed, provided recommendations for local attractions and helped planning tours or organized transportation. We recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming experience

We stayed here for two nights, and while the weather did place some limits on what we could do, we still had a great time. The room was extremely comfortable, with good quality mattresses and bed linen. Stepping out we were met by magical lights through a mist-covered courtyard at dusk. You are about a 45 minute drive from the centre of Kandy, so this forges a closer connection with the place. The service was extremely friendly and professional, while the restaurant offered up a wonderful range of quality cuisine and a friendly singer-guitarist with a selection of local songs and acoustic evergreens. Walking around the property in the morning is a highly recommended experience, although the weather did not allow us to try the stunning infinity pool, with views out over plantation and jungle. Even with the weather not fully on our side, Simpsons Forest delivered comfort and excellent hospitality.
