Irene and Marten take great care of their guests - they were sharing great tips and gave us some insights on the region. Also they were super helpful and gave not only us, but also our two dogs, a very warm welcome. The rooms are cosy and clean, the breakfast is amazing and you get a bag for putting together a lunch package. There‘s drinks and coffee free to grab all day without additional costs. And the place is surrounded by stunning nature, especially for bird lovers.

Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk is located in Eelderwolde, directly next to the A7 highway. Groningen is 4 km from the hotel and guests can enjoy the restaurant. Nice and spacious room (we got an upgrade upon arrival - we checked in pretty early and were lucky I guess) Staff super friendly, parking easy and breakfast really nice.

What a great place to stay, host were friendly, great location, no noisy traffic, weather was windy and raining but cabin inside warm, cosy and quiet, comfortable beds, breakfast was excellent.

Thermen Bad Nieuweschans offers numerous treatments, baths and massages. The wellnessresort is located a 2-minute drive from the A7 and offers free parking. Incredible. 🥵 The Wellness aspect is second to non. Saunas are excellent, as are the pools. The relaxation vibe is next level. I have stayed in the hotel 6 times, and I have never been disappointed.

Very nice place, close to nature, domestic animals, lovely garden, the landlady was very nice. We could buy some organic food near by. It's very calm et quiet, we slept very well.

The friendliness, character. I am a lone cycle tourer. A great place to overnight. The room had everything, even a washing machine. A safe shed to the rear for my bike.
