Surrounded by 80 000m² of beautiful gardens, this 5-star hotel is 4 km from Évora city centre and housed in a renovated 15th-century convent. It offers a piano bar and free parking. They leveled up the standard for how a hotel should be, super friendly staff and supper clean. One of the best getaway places in Europe.

We spent three wonderful nights at Moagem Industrial Hotel and absolutely loved it. The hotel is simply beautiful, very comfortable, and makes you feel completely at home. At the same time, the staff treats you like royalty – warm, attentive, and welcoming in every detail. A special thank you to Maya and Paula, who welcomed us so warmly every morning and prepared the best pancakes we have ever had. The welcome from Luis was a true delight – so friendly and genuine. Célia and Marta impressed us with their attention to detail and the way they served us so beautifully at the table. Marta, the pastry chef, amazed us with the best handmade desserts we have ever tasted. And of course, we cannot forget Ruben, the chef, who with so much love and care prepared for us an incredible variety of delicious dishes. Ines—one of the owners— is warm and welcoming. Our room was splendid—comfortable, lovely, overlooking the beautiful pool. Breakfast was perfect—obrigado Patricia! We liked this beautiful Solar ( a former school where Ines was a schoolgirl—how cool!) so much that we stayed one more night! My friend left for work in Lisboa and I stayed for a third night! One night turned into three because it is so delightful! I have cycled 94,000+km around the world and have stayed at well over 1000+ hotels around the world on every continent except Antarctica—Solar Dos Frades is one of the best! Obrigado Ines! All the windows have mosquito nets which is amazing for people who tend to get bitten while sleeping :) Host Jerome makes you feel really welcome, it’s a very warm and loving family, always around and happy to help. It’s very close to the village, which makes it easy to shop and have dinner at restaurants. Very safe and entertaining for kids to play around free.

Our airconditioning failed with was notable at the reception, directly the staff knocked out our door to fix it. Quality bedding and clean. Nice rooms. All rooms have special names with dedicated sweet referred to the room type. 15 minutes walk time downtown.
