The room was exceptionally spacious, spotless, and felt brand new — every detail clearly well thought out. A welcome glass of champagne was a lovely touch and immediately set the tone for the stay. Set in the rural Algarve landscape, Vale d'El Rei Resort is surrounded by vineyards and only 3 km from the sandy Marinha Beach. It has 2 pools, a stream, and lake. Nice quiet location, friendly staff and wonderful accommodation. I highly recommend for couples or families looking for somewhere away from the busy areas. Bonus was a delicious bottle of sparkling wine from the hotel. It made the welcome and my first time in Portugal that much more special.

The room was spacious, very clean and tidy. The bed was large and comfortable, and the towels were soft. I especially loved the Molton Brown shampoo and shower gel — the scent was amazing. I only booked three nights before heading to Seville, but honestly, I wish I had stayed longer by the sea.
