With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. Really nice room with good facilities and a beautiful view. Great breakfast. The spa was excellent. The breakfast and check out hours were more relaxed than normal hotels which made the stay feel extra relaxed.

Excellent facilities and a very new hotel the staff were fantastically helpful friendly and efficient. The restaurant with its fantastic panoramic view was brilliant and the staff there, especially Viktor, Gui and Inesh deserve special mention.

However, what impressed us most was design of the hotel. Amazing.

Helena & Ricardo have painstakingly restored and renovated the property into something rare and special where modern amenities and comfort meet the beauty of a working farm and vineyard. Their kindness and attention to customer service is world class, and is matched by their knowledge of the history of the area and willingness to share the stories of their journey to create their dream. While my partner and I were there, we enjoyed morning hikes through the vineyards, daily trips to regional towns, afternoon dips in the indoor salt water spa pool, and evening dinners where our hosts and staff provided upscale-rustic regional cuisine, local wines and port, and wonderful conversation with both hosts and guests. This will be somewhere we will hopefully be able to revisit in the coming years as it truly is one of our favourites of all time!

In a beautiful location, wonderful views down the valley, really peaceful. It is so nice being a small hotel with only 5 rooms. Exceptionally high standard of decor & cleanliness. Andre could not do enough to help us. Even prior to check-in his communication was excellent, upon arrival we had a little tour of the property and a taste of the port wine produced here. Both nights he made our dinner reservations for us and chose outstanding restaurants nearby. His local knowledge is excellent. We had a 1-1 wine tour/tasting at their vineyard which was fabulous and so special to get a look ‘behind the scenes’ at a small wine producer. The wine is delicious. Breakfasts were very fresh and good quality. Access to water, tea, coffee and pastel de natas every day too! Would absolutely stay here again!

This pace is beautiful. It is very peaceful, the staff are attentive. The beds were super comfortable. There is everything in the kitchen you need to create a lovely meal. This was very welcome after weeks of travelling I enjoyed being able to prepare delicious food for my family.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool, Rio Moment's is set in Castelo de Paiva in the Norte Region, 34 km from Porto. Guimarães is 46 km away. The breakfast was very good and the location was in very relaxing setting. The staff was very attentive and helpful especially senhora Ana senhora Susana, senhora Linda and senhora Fátima
