Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. The staff were so helpful and our dog Ted was made very welcome. Beautiful location and the hotel facilities were very modern & clean.

I had one of the best pina coladas in life :) Regarding the service, young people were working and overall we were impressed from everything :) And it is 20min walking from the center

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful vineyard hotel by the river. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by grapevines, and everything is so well cared for. The design is stylish yet cosy, making it easy to feel at home right away. Everyone on the team was friendly and welcoming, but two people truly deserve a special mention. Yarelis greeted us each morning with her contagious smile, kindness, and genuine care – the perfect start to the day! Daniël was always helpful and making sure everything went smoothly during dinner. Their thoughtfulness made our stay even more memorable. The food was excellent – fresh, creative, and clearly made with love. It’s the kind of place where you feel both relaxed and well looked after. If you get the chance to visit, don’t think twice!

It is very peaceful, the staff are attentive. The beds were super comfortable. There is everything in the kitchen you need to create a lovely meal.
