We enjoyed our stay at Stilleben a lot! It is a very lovely place and the owners are very hospitable and kind. The food was handmade from local products and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner a lot. The hotel is very close to beautiful cross country skiing tracks leading through the beautiful scenery. We could also rent the skies at the hotel.

Högbo Brukshotell & Spa is situated in a former ironworks area in the village of Högbo, 700 metres from Högbo Golf Club. It offers free WiFi. Guests can enjoy a range of outdoor activities. Great location and surrounding areas - a quick walk to the lake, kiosk, coffee place, beautiful walking trails (full of berries in August!), boat rental, rope park.... [we were there in August, can't say what happens when it gets colder] Pretty interior with a sitting area/couches and fire place next to the bar. Bar tenders were efficient. Wonderful b-fast. Basic rooms. Okay WIFI. Quick check in and check out.

Only 150 metres from Gävle’s main square, Stortorget, this central hotell offers free WiFi and rooms with flat-screen TVs with satellite channels. Gävle Central Station is 10 minutes’ walk away. The reception staff were so lovely and welcoming on arrival. We were given a complimentary upgrade which really did just make our stay unforgettable. The rooms are beautiful and the location is just a 12 minute walk from the Central Station. Lots of shops and restaurants walking distance. I can’t race enough about the breakfast buffet. Was such an amazing spread with lots of gluten free options. Everything was labelled very well which made it for easy for myself as someone who can’t eat gluten to know what was safe for me to eat. Would 100% stay again and recommend to everyone.
