From the moment we arrived, it was clear that great care and attention had been put into creating a cosy and inviting retreat. The lodge was spotless, beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a truly comfortable stay. The little details throughout the space made it feel like a true home away from home. The private hot tub was a standout feature—perfect for unwinding and relaxing during our holiday. The well-appointed kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and the private entrance added an extra touch of privacy to the experience. One unforgettable highlight of our trip was the owner's thoughtfulness. On the third evening, they kindly knocked on our door to inform us of the Northern Lights' appearance. Without their heads-up, we might have missed this magical sight. Seeing the stunning Northern Lights from our window was a delightful experience.

It really was 5* accommodation. They’ve thought of everything and more. The welcome pack was excellent with everything we may have needed and lots of luxury extras. Sarah came round on day 1 to introduce herself and make sure everything was as it should be. Perfect time had by all!

The location was great and there was a lot of space. Gemma is really sweet and very responsive when you text. I loved the local goods basket of treats given to us. I loved the quiet atmosphere and view of the farmland. It was very easy to access but you will need a car. I loved that the living area and kitchen - they had doors to shut. There were lots of cooking ware available in the kitchen. There was an extra fridge and freezer available in the laundry room. The laundry room was huge! There were brochures and guides given about the islands and some suggestions of places to visit. Also a list of numbers and local contacts. - great touch! Loved the local hand soaps in the bathrooms.

Location was very good within a quite area but with an easy walk to the promenade and shops. Property had a garden and parking area, was clean and very modern and comfortable furnishings and facilities, with all the equipment you need for a stay. Lots of info provided on places of interest in Orkney.
