The room itself was cleaned, although an odd smell when you enter. The front office staff was polite. I asked to have a lower ground room and they were able to accomodate. Beds were comfortable.

A beautiful, historic city with many well maintained Civil War era buildings. There is a public mall with many businesses and plaques describing buildings and the role they played in the war. The dogwoods were in bloom, which made everything look beautiful.
We ate dinner at Violino Ristorante Italiano - 181 N Loudoun St. Authentic Italian food - it was fabulous! Pasta was homemade and delicious. It's small - so recommend a reservation.
Nice shops in the historic area too.

Old town in Winchester has a great variety of shops and restaurants.
We ate at a small sports tavern and the food was good, however they neglected to leave the mushrooms off my linguini and I am allergic to them. Fortunately I did not eat one before I found and picked them out.

When I entered the hotel ,there was a very hostile situation going on at the Reception area, eventually the police had to be called to remove the customer, who was obviously in the wrong . I felt unsafe and very uncomfortable. I went to my room and there was a large gap between the door jam and door, so I went out and picked up a safety door jam so I could at least try to get some sleep. The room had a dirty / cheap cover up smell and my bed sheets had a black stain on them. Due to work I didn't get in until 10:30 and was too tired to call housekeeping so I slept on the other side of the bed. The walls had chips of paint scratched off and the couch was filthy. I didn't even walk on bare feet on the carpet. The continental breakfast was barely existent.

Staying at that hotel ruined our whole trip, wouldn't ever stay there even if it was free, owed at least for the last night, plus in my booking the room with pets allowed was no mention of any extra charges for pet ,thought it was already in the price of the daily room with pets charge but when I checked in was informed that in addition to the daily room charge was extra $30 a day for our 2 cats = $120.also the hallways reaked of pet smells.
Staying at the Microtel worked out well when we were in the area visiting family. We really didn't spend any time during the day at the hotel just slept there. But I'm a big fan of efficient design so I appreciated lots of convenient touches throughout the room that made our stay more comfortable. The breakfast buffet was restocked throughout the morning and had lots of tasty options. The staff was nice and the location was convenient.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel restaurants were delicious and the service was impeccable. The spa pool was very unique in design, luxurious feeling, and never crowded. This hotel felt like it would break the bank, but allowed us to explore the area without having to dedicate a bulk of our budget to our lodging.
Requested pet friendly One Bedroom King suite and staff was able to deliver same day. Even though there were several pets in the same area, the room was quiet. Woman who took care of the breakfast room was exemplary in keeping everything clean and well supplied. Loved the fact that Outback and Shell gas station were all right there.
Very clean, comfortable beds and facilities, our favorite hotel in the Winchester area after staying at nearly a dozen. Staff has always been kind and helpful and hands off unless you need them. Breakfast is delicious, many varieties of hot foods. We are a family of 5 and really appreciate the large sleeping sofa with a trundle.
Looks like a new hotel. Tastefully decorated. Staff was professional, pleasant and accommodating. Every room has a walk in shower (I think) which is a plus - beds one of the most comfortable and all kinds of covid precautions. (even provided a purse size bottle of hand sanitizer) Will be back!
The hotel was fair, but the AC was not working properly. The air would come on, but it never really "cooled" the room.
Our keys were deactivated at one point, but that may have been outside issues that caused the malfunctions. Overall this was a very nice, clean, and comfortable hotel.
I have stayed at this Red Roof Inn several times. The staff, especially Heidy, is very welcoming and helpful. I don't need a pool or a gym. This hotel offers a clean, comfortable room at a fair price. I will stay there whenever I visit Winchester.
Breakfast was good, convenient. Typical for a hotel breakfast but makes the trip that much easier and adds value. Room was very nice. Room AC unit is typical and runs much of the night to maintain temperature. No problems however.
Place is new and comtfy.
Loved that is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, shops and other services.
You can reach plenty of good stuff with walking distance.
Room was spacious and comfty. Quiet at night. Amazing.
Size of room. Friendliness of desk staff. TWO CHAIRS IN ROOM. (It boggles my mind to know that hotel rooms now are required to provide ONLY ONE chair for a room equipped to house UP TO FOUR people!)
clean , modern, room very comfortable, extra large bed, good air con that wasn’t too noisy. Good Chinese restaurant within easy reach on foot. very good stay.
