I recently stayed at Townplace Suites and was thoroughly impressed. The location is excellent, conveniently situated near many businesses and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. The hotel offers ample, well-lit parking, which made arriving and leaving a breeze. Each morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a variety of fresh and tasty options, which was a great way to start the day. The breakfast wa good with a lot of choices but it end at 9am during the week. It's early. The pool was vers Nice. The bed was vers comfy but the pillow was too soft. The room is big With everything that we need. The Wi-Fi could be better. It's à quiet place With à lot of restaurants around. And what about the staff. They were very appreciated and kindness.

The hotel was really nice and beautiful. The staff was friendly, rooms were nice and roomy, and I am picky on beds and these were pretty good. I slept well. It was not far from anything and our time here with our family was a great long weekend stay. We would stay here again.

Frederick used to be a small farming community when I lived...

Frederick used to be a small farming community when I lived not-too-far away. It is a sprawling, 2nd largest city (in Md) behind Baltimore, grown up city now. Lots of things to do, see, explore. No longer a small farming town but a much more diverse city (w/mild traffic) now. I enjoyed my stay & will return.

It was terrible what the manager did.

It was terrible what the manager did. And was trying to do it to other people that had already reserved rooms. I had even paid extra for the (cancellation fee) that was not returned. We drove nearly 2.5 hrs from out of town and at 11:30 pm was told our room was taken at 3:20 pm and that there were no available rooms. It seems that there was a marathon that took place that day and around 3pm a bus load of travelers came in. The manager took reserved rooms and gave them to the travelers that were presently trying to get rooms. My room was reserved nearly 8 weeks prior. Terrible, Terrible treatment! I would never recommend this place to anyone! And this is this same story being told by a lot of other people who had rooms reserved that day as well! Greed is what it all boils down to!

This is a favorite town to visit for a short vacation for me...

This is a favorite town to visit for a short vacation for me and several of my friends. Plenty of downtown shopping, historic areas and restaurants keep us busy on multiple return trips. We visit our favorite, locally owned shops and try new restaurants every time. An evening stroll down the canal is lovely. The nearby countryside is beautiful and has small vintners and brewers you can visit. There are small, interesting antique shops and local crafters. The entire area is historic back to the 1700's. Surrounding the downtown area is a modern town with all the usual shops and conveniences, if you need them.

I have not been to Frederick too often, but on this trip I...

I have not been to Frederick too often, but on this trip I began to appreciate the town more - it has a lot of good restaurants, a lot of cultural events, and many historical sites nearby to explore (if you have time - I am here to move things from storage.) Frederick is much nicer than I recalled from twenty years ago. My favorite restaurant for delivery is AKA Frisco's.

Whether you like to explore the surrounding area or shop...

Whether you like to explore the surrounding area or shop downtown at the many beautiful stores. Antiques and history are within reach of this area. Try the restaurants. You can find plenty to do. Visit Baker park or a favorite of my grandkids I Made This, pottery paint store. Visit DC museums about 40 minutes away or Gettsyburg. Back after a long day swim in the indoor pool or go to movie theatre.

Don’t miss the creek walk.

Don’t miss the creek walk. A long beautiful walk with hardscaping, fountains, sculptures, and many beautiful walking bridges, each one different. We walked parts of it three times, and each time was a bustling community gathering. Prom couples also stopped by for photos on the bridges. Only a little frustrating when they would close down a section for a pay/wristband event. But it was just the amphitheater section of one side. You could still walk on the other side both times. Many boutiques and shops and good restaurants. The Thai place on Patrick and the sushi place above it were great. The civil war medical museum was very interesting and you can see everything in an hour or two. Parking was a little tight with all going on, but we drove around the block only once each time and found an open meter. Didn’t have to find a garage, unlike my own town. I was in town a couple weeks ago (loved the Delaplaine Art Center) and had to go back with family, I knew they’d love it.

My second time staying at Patty's Place didn't disappoint. It was nice to "come home" to a familiar place where everything you need is right there. Super cute and cozy and very clean. It's in the perfect location only minutes from Hood college and downtown. I spent the weekend to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Hood college. It's bittersweet knowing I won't have a reason to go back to Frederick now that she's graduated, but if I do, I know where to stay again!

I was close by what I needed to mean and the front desk staff was wonderful. She did help me get checked in early even though I couldn't access my room to save me time. Later in the day. She was personable and kind and knew exactly what she was doing. I was very expedious in checking me in. I could not speak higher of the front desk that she was absolutely wonderful.
