During this tour, you can explore the rugged landscape of Mount Lebanon. You’ll visit the beautiful cavern of Jeita Grotto. Here you can see a variety of crystallized formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, columns, mushrooms, ponds, curtains and draperies.
You can then take a hike up to the statue of Lady Lebanon, a key pilgrimage site in honor of the Virgin Mary, or take the Telepherique gondola system to the top. This large statue stretches over Beirut overlooking the Bay of Jounieh, offering one of the most attractive panoramic views in the world. At the base, there is small chapel and a concrete cathedral nearby.
You’ll finish off the tour with a visit to Baatara Gorge Waterfall, or Balou’ Bala’a which was discovered in 1952. The gorge has three natural bridges that form a path to walk through and the water falls into a natural sinkhole.
