On this guided tour, you’ll get to head to Butuceni and experience some diverse activities. You’ll first hike in Old Orhei, which is a cultural, historical and archaeological complex located in a rocky gorge of the Raut River. You’ll get to see huge limestone outcroppings in the valley, which is also home to many monuments.
You’ll visit the Cave Monastery, which was carved into a limestone rock by monks in the 13th-century medieval era. You’ll have time to explore the small chapel and places where monks lived. From here, you’ll also get to see panoramic views of the river and the plains.
Finally, you’ll head to Ferma Veche, which is a local farmhouse in Butuceni village. Here you’ll have time to participate in countryside activities like walking through the lavender bushes, feeding the animals, carpet weaving, traditional bread cooking lessons and harvesting seasonal fruits and vegetables.
