On this tour, you'll be able to visit underground cellars on Terceira Island. After getting picked up from your hotel in Feteira, you'll be driven to the Cavern of Coal – an ancient volcanic vent located in the central part of the island. You'll pass through the Natal and Carvo Algar Cave and see the famous Sulfur Furnas and Patas Lagoon.
You'll also get a chance to see Furnas do Enxofre, which consists of several outlets of volcanic gases at different temperatures. You'll be able to observe sulphur smoke from the small pedestrian trail. Next, you'll visit Gruta Natal, Lagoa do Negro and the entrance to the trail of ‘black mysteries’. Here, you'll be able to stroll through lava tunnels and see the Lagoa do Negro up close.
