On this active tour, you’ll set out to the Douro Valley to explore the celebrated wine region on foot. You’ll begin your hike in Pinhão, moving past vineyards and orchards and admiring the spectacular scenery of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Along the way, your guide will teach you about the Douro’s terroir, including its climate and soil, and the grape varieties that are unique to the area. Afterwards, you'll head to the Pinhão Train Station, a historic building renowned for its beautiful tiled artwork. Your final stop will be a local wine estate where you’ll have a tasting of three port wines.
