On this private sunset tour, you’ll have the chance to go on a two-hour ride on a vintage Maine lobster boat. Navigating along the Casco Bay coastline, you’ll see historic 19th-century forts, lighthouses and scenic views.
During the tour, you’ll pass by Spring Point Light, the smallest of the four lighthouses, and nearby Fort Preble. On windy days, you might be able to spot the kites of expert kite fliers. Later, you’ll catch a glimpse of Portland Head Light, Maine’s oldest and most emblematic lighthouse, which has been in operation for over two centuries. You’ll also see Fort Gorges, a stone fortress that was never used in battle but served as a military storage facility during World War II.
To round off your tour, you’ll ride by Cushing Island and see its dramatic cliffs and the picturesque tree-lined streets and cottages of Peaks Island.
