Dinner was great, beer was cold, and music was awesome! People were extremely friendly and it was a fun experience. I needed good WIFI for a few online meetings, and it worked perfectly. The area around the hotel has a ton of other restaurants and shops. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was great - particularly the full english and platter of fresh fruit. The location was brilliant - next to the church, opposite the Castle pub and yards away from the castle/country park. There were plenty of diverse places to drive to nearby - gardens; Roman sites; a castle, abbey and walk by the river at Tintern .

The Lychgate is only 10 mins from the main trunk roads and easy to find. It is located next to Caldicot Castle and has an excellent pub on the opposite side of the road. The room was boutique size, more than adequate for us. The room and property were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful. We would stay there again
