Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Elbury Lodge provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. This guest house offers free private parking and a shared kitchen. Powderham Castle is 21 km away and Tiverton Castle is 24 km from the guest house.

Kat welcomed me upon arrival with bonafide friendliness and showed me around the Lodge which has so much character and is so very cosy! The communal kitchen is perfectly outfitted with all you'd need to prepare almost any meal and is so very clean and easy to clean after use. Kat and I talked for a half and hour or so outside the Lodge shortly after I had settled in and it was easy to see that she genuinely engages in conversation with guests with interest. I saw Chris as I headed out on on a walk to get some groceries and although he was talking with someone else he called out a greeting to me and gave a big wave. There's a great welcome guide in the rooms with a history of the property, synopsis of the conservation efforts ongoing on the farm, information on local shops, etc. You will not be bothered by the hosts but if you have a question or just want to say hello, rest assured you can knock on their door and know you will be more than well received!

A 10-minute drive up the coast from Exmouth, Riverdown offers bed and breakfast in Exton, south Devon. In a pretty, secluded location with views across the Exe Estuary, Riverdown provides free Wi-Fi and parking, as well as full English breakfasts.

Location was amazing, Tim was an excellent host. Extra special hut in Tim's field overlooking the Estuary, provided the perfect end to each day with a glass of wine. Could not ask for more especially considering the excellent value for money.

Clean., quiet and comfortable - and warm and friendly owner. Excellent breakfast. Excellent value - I booked a single room and was in a small double. My only slight disappointment was that I couldn't get much power out of the shower - but that might be my ineptitude. Definitely recommend.
