There are a few nice walks in the area, but in general there are not a lot of trails. If you are into walking, check out Fearnoch Forest (access next to Angus' Garden, about a mile up the road), or walk over the ridge and to the beach via Balindore. In the village, there is a very well stocked village grocery shop with the friendliest shopkeeper in the world. Nearest serious walk is Ben Cruachan, but we did not get there. Good public transport to Oban, for a day trip.

Location is stunning, very peaceful & quiet. Food in local area was great. Welcome pack from hosts was a lovely gesture.

It was spotlessly clean with everything you need. Total home from home. It was warm and welcoming with views that were absolutely stunning. It is remote with a stream that runs buy the lodge. It was a joy to sit outside on the decking, and we had a full moon! We most definitely will be back but for longer. The countryside to explore is breathtaking. Gem of a place to say.
