What is it in London that makes history come to life?

The United Arab Emirates Anonymous, The United Arab Emirates

If you've even heard of Dickens, Chaucer, Shakespeare, the royal family, Churchill, the world wars - just walking along the streets they walked on is enough to make them and their experiences jump out at you. The fact that most of the tourist attractions' tours (eg: Royal Albert Hall, Churchill War Rooms, Kensington Palace, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, London Bridge Experience, Westminster Abbey) are all accompanied by audio and include re-enactments mean that your completely drawn in to the experience.

  • The location is perfect. We travelled from Cambridge and planned to store our 4 pieces of luggage in King's cross station before headed to Heathrow. But finally we decided to stay in London for over night and found out that Crestfield Hotel perfectly suits to us. It is about 100m away from King's cross station and easy to travel to any place in London. The second thing we would like to point out is that the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We are new to London and they provided us with excellent guide.

  • I booked at the very last minute (3 hours before traveling to London from Gloucestershire) and so was just glad of a room. I was going to the passport office in Victoria and this hotel couldn't be better situated for anyone else making this trip. Helpful staff, clean rooms. Perfect

  • The bed was comfortable and the room was really spacious. The hotel is located in a nice district, although it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the nearest train station (Crystal Palace). There is a number of old-fashioned pubs and good-value-for-money restaurants. It takes a 30-50 to get to the city center, but there are direct trains to London Bridge and London Victoria.
