Did the theater performances in London live up to their reputation?

United States of America Elizabeth, United States of America

We visited the Globe for the second time and despite the heat and less than comfy seats, we thoroughly enjoyed the play which was magnificently acted. We noticed an actor from one of our favorite PBS shows was in the cast so it was great to see him in another role.

The Z Hotel Soho Very good 8.2 The Z hotel was everything it said it would be. I loved the location, staff and especially the cleanliness!! The rooms are small but they advertised the room measurements. To give you an idea, a double room was perfect for a solo person!! The sound proofing of the windows was great as I was on the theatre side. Thanks once again Z hotel you are everything you said you would be and everything I needed for a 4 night get away to the theatre distinct.
The Soho Hotel Wonderful 9.3 The staff is so perfect that one would forgive any other negative aspect, if there was one. I loved everything: the rooms, spacious and comfortable, the location, the lovely decoration.... Wonderful!

Hotels that guests love in London

    • This hotel location really works for me, as I regularly visit an office near Victoria station. It's about 1 minute walk to Victoria, and 15 minutes walk to Big Ben. Staff are really friendly and social. Room is small but contemporary, clean and well thought out. Bed really comfy. I love the cheese and wine 'party' held every evening :o) Great value, excellent hotel in central London. I'll be back...again.

    • Near three tube stops, around the corner from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, and easily reachable from London City Airport, this hotel is extremely convenient for exploring central London. Staff were friendly, rooms small but generally comfortable, and the place overall quiet.

    • We chose a city hotel because we like the location, It can be a fair distance to walk into central london but their are plenty buses not 5 minutes away . When booking i requested a high floor with a view as it was my wifes birthday ,[ You dont ask you don't get.] Surprise, we were upgraded to the top floor with a view of Tower Bridge. The hotel is very nice. The staff could not do enough for you from the doorman ,reception and restaurant staff. 4 Star yes.

    • The hotel is centrally located beside the Tower of London and only 8 miles from London City Airport. The hotel's rooftop bar is worth visiting and boasts great views of London Tower and bridge.

    • The bed was comfortable and the room was really spacious. The hotel is located in a nice district, although it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the nearest train station (Crystal Palace). There is a number of old-fashioned pubs and good-value-for-money restaurants. It takes a 30-50 to get to the city center, but there are direct trains to London Bridge and London Victoria.
