Overlooking the Bay of Naples and mount Vesuvius, Sorrento is a colorful town in Campania. According to legend, it was the land of the sirens that had the power to enchant with their singing.
The town of Sorrento has gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque architecture, and a wide variety of restaurants, shops and cafés. Built around the 11th century, the Romanesque Cathedral of Sorrento is the city’s most important landmark. The charming Bell Tower with the beautiful majolica clock is the first thing you notice.
The picturesque harbor of Marina Grande has some of the best restaurants in the city. Wander around during sunset and you'll see fishermen cleaning their nets. Marina Piccola is the place to catch a ferry to Capri, Amalfi and Naples.
Born in a garden of lemon and oranges, the traditional yellow liquor limoncello is a unique aperitif or digestive drink. The mediterranean climate of Sorrento helps in the production of this famous refreshment.
Naples International Airport is located 3 miles from the Capodichino district of Naples and about 18 miles from Sorrento. You can stay in one of the Sorrento hotels, B&Bs and pensions with Booking.com.
“Everything. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Location is one of the best. Cleanliness is outstanding. Great hotel offering all you need to have a great holiday. Thank you.”
“The service and room were amazing! It was our anniversary and they upgraded our room and gave us a bottler of champagne. The front desk manager who had been there 30 years went out of his way to help us navigate the area.”
“The services were brilliant and attention to detail is impeccable. Staff are friendly and the location is also spot on. The best breakfast! Antonio is a keeper”
“Eveyrthing a gust may ask for!”

“Extremely hospitable and professional staff; excellent breakfast, secured parking, convenient and quiet location, comfortable bed, easy access to high speed wifi in the clean and spacious room. Highly recommended.”
“We had a room with a balcony overlooking Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples - the panoramic view was awe inspiring!! We left our patio doors open at night to listen to the waves lapping on the shore. The hotel was immaculate in every way - the added touch of a fruit plate to greet us was perfect. We reserved "a la carte" for dinner on the last night and had an excellent meal with a view of the lights of Naples. The hotel is a little out of the downtown which is busy with tourists - for a 10 minute walk we had a tranquil haven and perhaps the best view in Sorrento.”
“A very elegant hotel, in perfect location. Excellent outdoor facilities. A really superb hotel. Staff were very accommodating for every wish.”

“We book a 1-night stay in this hotel, we were traversing through Italy and Switzerland for our honeymoon. I must say, this was definitely one of the better hotels we stayed in! It was too bad we only had one night in Sorrento. Our room had an amazing view of Sorrento.”
“Maison la Minervetta is even better in person! My husband and I were blown away by our stay during our recent trip through Italy. The hotel is beautifully quirky, the staff is excellent, and the location is superb. Thanks for a wonderful stay in Sorrento!”
“Kudos to the entire staff. Clean, modern accommodations on a small side street in Sorrento. Better than awesome continental breakfast. We stayed at several different hotels while traveling in Italy, and this one was one of our favorites.”
“The best thing about this hotel is its unique location on the Sorrento waterfront -- next to the ferry terminal, beaches (including a tiny public one 5 mins away) and several waterfront restaurants. (One can climb up to the centre of town in 5-10 minutes or take a shuttle bus to the station, and there's also a lift/elevator up the cliffside.) The staff are avery friendly, and the breakfast was pretty good for Italy. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sorrento, at least during the summer. ”
“Nice quaint residence set just up the hill from the main area of Sorrento, the walk up and down is actually quite beautiful and only takes 10 mins. Stayed in 5 hotels on my trip around Italy and this had the nicest breakfast by far. Nice view from the room, private beach is nice.”
