Hotels that guests love in Sorrento

  • We book a 1-night stay in this hotel, we were traversing through Italy and Switzerland for our honeymoon. I must say, this was definitely one of the better hotels we stayed in! It was too bad we only had one night in Sorrento. Our room had an amazing view of Sorrento.

  • Maison la Minervetta is even better in person! My husband and I were blown away by our stay during our recent trip through Italy. The hotel is beautifully quirky, the staff is excellent, and the location is superb. Thanks for a wonderful stay in Sorrento!

  • Kudos to the entire staff. Clean, modern accommodations on a small side street in Sorrento. Better than awesome continental breakfast. We stayed at several different hotels while traveling in Italy, and this one was one of our favorites.

  • The best thing about this hotel is its unique location on the Sorrento waterfront -- next to the ferry terminal, beaches (including a tiny public one 5 mins away) and several waterfront restaurants. (One can climb up to the centre of town in 5-10 minutes or take a shuttle bus to the station, and there's also a lift/elevator up the cliffside.) The staff are avery friendly, and the breakfast was pretty good for Italy. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sorrento, at least during the summer.

  • Nice quaint residence set just up the hill from the main area of Sorrento, the walk up and down is actually quite beautiful and only takes 10 mins. Stayed in 5 hotels on my trip around Italy and this had the nicest breakfast by far. Nice view from the room, private beach is nice.

Hotel Plaza Wonderful 9 He went out of his way (with a smile) to source a cooking class for us when the advertised one was unavailable. Then he made a point of checking with us the next day to see how it was. ALL the reception staff were friendly and helpful, always with a smile.
Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria Exceptional 9.5 The service and room were amazing! It was our anniversary and they upgraded our room and gave us a bottler of champagne. The front desk manager who had been there 30 years went out of his way to help us navigate the area.
Hotel Continental Wonderful 9 Very friendly staff !! Perfect location !!
Imperial Hotel Tramontano Excellent 8.6 Eveyrthing a gust may ask for!
Parco dei Principi Very good 8.3 This place was amazing. Upgraded upon arrival to a balconey room. The view was amazing. Great shuttle service but very short walk to city center. Amazing trip.
Grand Hotel Capodimonte Excellent 8.8 Overall facilities and pools were exceptional! It felt a bit pricy when booked, but upon arrival we totally saw what we paid for and we were happy. Aspecially nice that we could enjoy the hotel after check-out (bags were stored while we still swam in pools). A separate note on sun-bathing with a view over Sorrento - fantastic!
Grand Hotel Royal Wonderful 9 Extremely hospitable and professional staff; excellent breakfast, secured parking, convenient and quiet location, comfortable bed, easy access to high speed wifi in the clean and spacious room. Highly recommended.
Grand Hotel Ambasciatori Wonderful 9.3 We had a room with a balcony overlooking Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples - the panoramic view was awe inspiring!! We left our patio doors open at night to listen to the waves lapping on the shore. The hotel was immaculate in every way - the added touch of a fruit plate to greet us was perfect. We reserved "a la carte" for dinner on the last night and had an excellent meal with a view of the lights of Naples. The hotel is a little out of the downtown which is busy with tourists - for a 10 minute walk we had a tranquil haven and perhaps the best view in Sorrento.
Grand Hotel de la Ville Excellent 8.9 Fabulous breakfast good location Friendly staff, great room size Fantastic town
Hotel Minerva Wonderful 9.3 the location with its spectacular views of Mt V across the Bay. Staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions for outings etc.
Hotel Antiche Mura Wonderful 9.4 Very centrally located near piazza tasso, the hotel has it's own parking, and the rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. Very helpful staff, I would stay there again
Maison La Minervetta Exceptional 9.6 There was not a single detail which I did not like. It is an extraordinary hotel. The location is fantastic and all that natural beauty is incorporated into the building. The most amazing inner architecture and decoration. Friendly and helping staff, receptionists are exceptional and Francesca and Margarita make the best breakfast with the best condiment, which is personal care. We had to come back few days later this great experience and the second time was even better
Grand Hotel Vesuvio Very good 8.1 Beautiful location and excellent service
Bellevue Syrene Wonderful 9.4 EVERYTHING! The views from everywhere were outstanding. Our room was superior. View and furnishings were amazing. The staff was beyond excellent...very caring and helpful. The restaurants were excellent. Truly a 5 -star hotel.
