We went hiking in the area during spring time, so we just spent 1 night here. I would choose it again. We could reach main hiking routes in 5 minutes. Staff was nice. Hotel has its own parking lot, so we did not need to pay for parking in the main town parking lot. There is a small supermarket right next to the hotel, so it is easy to buy anything you would need during holidays.

I was up in the mountains so didn't see much of the towns. I got the little train up from Stary Smokoviec and went for shopping in Strbske Pleso. Neither town appeals to me but Popradske Pleso is gorgeous. One of my favourite places in the Tatras.

Every morning, I woke up to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, which were often shrouded in mist, creating an ethereal atmosphere. The fresh air and cool temperatures made hiking and outdoor activities a real treat.

A beautiful village at the foot of the Tatras by a beautiful lake. In the vicinity of the ski slope, many trails for walking and cycling. There are several hotels, restaurants and shops by the lake. An ideal place for a few-day trip, both in winter and summer.

Great trails, both half-day or full day, from moderate to slightly challenging (especially for anyone with mobility issues). Skok waterfall trail is terrific. Jamske Pleso trail is flatter and less rough, but we did see a common viper on the trail and fresh bear poo!
The trail around Strbske Pleso lake itself is very enjoyable and scenic.
Furkotka restaurant (opposite Hotel Toliar) and Koliba Patria restaurant overlooking the lake we're terrific value and lovely food. Lary Fary cafe was a nice midday stop-off too, lovely hot chocolate and tea.

Strbske pleso itself is too touristy and developed.
Strbske pleso itself is too touristy and developed. The real value of this location is all the hiking that's possible in the area. The nature here is stunning. An easy one hour hike will take you to another lake called Popradske pleso and a further 90 minute hike (a bit more difficult) from there will take you to the largest lake Velke Hincovo pleso. That area is beautiful. It looks like something from The Lord of the Rings. There is also a great restaurant in Strbske pleso called Furkotka with great food and service.

The location of the Hotel / Apartment is super convenient, just a few minutes from the cog railway and also from Strbske Pleso (lake). The location is also very convenient for multiple interesting hikes in winter and in summer. The location is very well accessible by train from Kysak / Poprad-Tatry and from Bratislava so also travellers without a car can reach it easily.
The size of the apartment is great, the hotel itself is clean and they serve a very tasty and rich breakfast! Very satisfied with the stay!
Everything was absolutely fantastic! The studio was super cozy with breathtaking scenic views, and the kitchen had all the bells and whistles. The bathroom was fully stocked with all the essentials, including towels for every guest, and there was even a TV and a cute little balcony to top it off. I absolutely loved my stay in this accommodation, and if I ever find myself back in Štrbské Pleso, there's no doubt I'll be booking this hotel again without hesitation! It's a solid 100% from me!
- Perfect for families. Plenty of indoor activities for kids specially in bad weather conditions.
- spa, wellness, pools are perfect for both kids and adults.
- breakfast is very good.
- room is clean and they added one extra sofa bed for our child for free.
- restaurant is very tasty and lobby café is also perfect
- friendly staff
- Excellent location, 2 min by walking to the lake and 2 min by walking to Coliba Patria restaurant.
- free parking
Location was good. The accommodation is an equivalent to the Youth hostel, basic but well managed and clean.
Sometime can be noisy (small children playing in the corridor or staircase)
The place population (of approx 300 local people) consists mainly of tourists in the hotels.
But still some cheaper eating facilities still exists near the railway station.
People are very nice. The tourist office is excellent.
we didn't took the breakfast in the hotel as this apartment has a fully functional kitchen despite it's size is very practical and gives all you need. Terrace is small but gives enough room for 2 chairs and a table to have breakfast, dinner or a snack while you can admire the view or during the night the entire sky as nothing blocks the view - an entire panorama of night sky
The room was very spacious in my opinion, it was equipped with a good number of wardrobes where you could keep your clothes. It had a well-equipped kitchen (kettle, basic cutlery, corkscrew, etc.). The staff was very helpful and responded quickly to additional requests. Besides, the hotel is very well located, it is very close to Štrbské Pleso and has its own parking.
1. Facilities are well thought out and organised for a comfortable family stay.
2. Great selection of foods in the included breakfast
3. Pool and games area to keep their guests entertained
4. Hotel is in a great location, as Strbske Pleso is right on your doorstep!
5. Staff is very helpful, however, English was an issue with some of the staff at the reception desk
Comparing with other hotels Hotel Panorama Resort has huge rooms. We had a standard room and the baby cart easily fitted, not disturbing at all. There was enough space for our baby for playing in the room, not mentioning the well-equiped room for children. Hotel staff was kind and helpfull. Breakfast was various, food was always refilled on time.
Good location right next to a supermarket (located in the neighboring hotel) and a great restaurant (called Furkotka). Also very close to the Strbske pleso lake (2-3 min. walking). The room had a large balcony with great views. The hotel has wellness facilities (three saunas that cost 12 € and massages that cost 18 €).
Great location, clean hotel, and pretty good food.
The room was very small, however due to the location and designation it was good enough, it's a room for sleeping not anything else. At the location you'd better go and explore around.
Situated on a lake it's simply stunning to walk, trek and just enjoy nature.
Perfect location near Strbske pleso (lake).
Perfect breakfast
Nice, clean, comfortable room, good kitchen equipment, also a coffemaker
Good wifi
Free parking in the garage
Kids place with many toys and equipment (next the restaurant)
Quiet rooms
Comfy & clean place with eco natural design & excellent location for exploring High Tatras. Enjoying morning coffee with magnificent mountain panorama including view of Krivan during sunrise was simply divine. Definitely place to come back.
Location is perfect. A six minute walk from the train station, hiking routes in walking distance to accommodation. The staff were friendly. Accommodation was clean and comfortable.
The hotel stay was wonderful. Everything was great, except that we had to call and ask to turn on the heating separately. Overall, it was just wonderful - highly recommend it.
