Advising us , from a locals point of view, the easiest ways to get around The Breakfast was always a surprise and presented with foods shaped like butterflys. Always a good meal to start our day and on very lucky days, Michel would treat us to a song with his very strong voice The room was tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, a patio to sit and watch the ships and birds using the St. Lawrence river.. and if you weren't tired out from the days activities, a walking path was right outside his door, with people using it constantly.. Really don't know how we could have found a place much better than this”

I found his place while searching online in the middle of the night, due to not being able to sleep at the horrible hostel I was staying at, with a bar across the street open till 3 a.m. I decided to cut my losses and stay elsewhere for my remaining 2 nights. I made an inquiry to Jean, and by the time I woke up, I found a kind response. We talked on the phone first, and he offered to come pick me up! His house is amazing. He is a long-time collector of antiques, and his house is decorated in art deco, 1930's style - every last detail. It is beautifully done, and there is an interesting piece in every corner. My room was classy, well equipped with everything I needed and then some, the bed was comfortable, and it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. After having a few breakfasts, I asked Jean if he was a chef! They were very gourmet, unique dishes, and fresh ingredients. The location was also very convenient, with the bus stop with service to the city just a block away; and these buses run every 10-15 minutes day and night. Jean was the perfect host in his lovely setting offering amazing food! You should go!”

“Sold as a Queen Room with one bed we were delighted to find that the room was divided in two with a drop-down bed recessed into a free-standing wall behind which was the main bed, and a free-standing bath. The room overlooked the Check-in Desk (hosted by very friendly and helpful reception staff) and staircase but was fully sound insulated from the outdoor sounds, where opposite was a stadium setup for the Summer Music Festival. Until we arrived we had no idea how perfectly located the hotel was to the olde city (at St John's Gate) and festival activities. We were entranced by the room, the hotel, and the city. Thank you Quebec!”

Close to Rue St. Jean, with more locals and less tourists. The apartment did not have a kettle (we are tea lovers), and mentioned this to the front desk staff. When we returned that evening, the owner had purchesed a new one, and it was waiting for us on our return. Very helpful staff at the front desk. Would not hesitate to recommend this to friends or other visitors to beautiful Quebec City.”

The apartment was very modern and clean. It even had a wine cooler and lots of extra utensils and dishes. Very spacious and bright lights. Nice tv on the wall and another in the bedroom. Great to be able to do washing and powder was provided. Very quiet and nice haven in the city. Friendly staff on hand at reception. For a similar price to a hotel, I would suggest staying here instead where you have lots of space and all the comforts of home.”

“The condo is really near to everything. We took a 5 minutes walk every morning during the stay to the best bakery in town, Paillard. If the weather permitted, this is the best place to stay because you don’t need to use the car. Basically, we went to check in with car and do all the site-visits by walking. It is convenience that we were using less gas and got to see the beautiful city view a lot. The condo also has a very mesmerizing view at night. We could see the buildings and light lit from roads across from the condo window. The owner provides cable TV with Netflix and varieties of board games. So, this condo is a really nice choice if you’re travelling with your friends because after you were fatigued of walking, you can stay get bonding time through all the board games and movie watching provided by the owner. You don’t have to bring your own towel because they provide a lot of clean and fresh towels for you. The bathroom is nice and spacious. Overall, if I were to visit Quebec again one day, I won’t hesitate to stay here again.”

“Everything! The apartment was perfect for us! It was the best place to experience a White Christmas, and make wonderful family memories. The apartment was exactly as the photos show, but even more welcoming in person. The beds, mattresses, doonas & sheets were large and comfortable, and even the couch in the lounge room could be used as a bed if two adults planned for the second bedroom decided they needed some space from each other. The kitchen was fully equipped, just like home, with a full range of utensils, the oven was spotless, and they were even kind enough to include an array of food basics, as well as cling wrap, storage containers, cleaning supplies and more. There were three grocery stores only a few minutes walk along Rue Saint-Jean including a dedicated organic one, in addition to a selection of lovely bakeries and a yummy chocolate shop! The staff were helpful and always greeted us cheerily, and building a snowman on the rooftop balcony made for some fun memories. There were 6 penthouse apartments on level 8, and it was amusing to find that 5 of the 6 apartments had been booked by Australians seeking a White Christmas! It's a delightful 15 minute walk to Chateau Frontenac and Petit Champlain, and the whole city is just like walking into a fairytale for Christmas. We went ice skating a couple of times in front of Palais Mont-Calm which was also only a short stroll away. The restaurant L'Accent looked after us well on repeat visits and Grand Allee was getting ready for New Years celebrations when we left. Highly recommend a ferry ride across the river, and visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral for Christmas mass is beautiful even if you don't understand much French. We attempted to practise our very limited French, but found everyone very accommodating with conversing in English too. All in all, a magic stay and highly recommended.”

“Les Immeubles Charlevoix. We were very happy with this property for our 5 night stay. Don't let the exterior of the building scare you off, it looks like an old warehouse converted to apartments. We needed a place that could accommodate an extra person for a few nights. This place was perfect, and we found out after being here for a few days, so perfect in other ways. The location is great, huge parking lot across the street for our rental car and parking included which is not the case with so many places around these parts. It's a fully equipped apartment kind of between a one bedroom and a studio, but the main bed is in the entrance area with the bathroom and kitchen between the living room and the bed, so some privacy for guests on the hide-a-bed. It's also well equipped for home cooked meals. It has an air conditioner that's quiet and works well The window in our unit (301) faces Rue St. Paul, a nice quiet street of shops and eateries. It's very close to the coolest areas of Old Quebec and a short walk up the hill to the upper areas, the Chateau Frontenac, and much more. It's also a short walk from the bus and train station if you arrive by one of those. There is a public market close by as well. Loads of restaurants in this town and lots within a short walk. Depending on how far you like to walk, the Citadel isn't that far. The waterfront where the river cruises start is a 8-10 minute walk. This was a very quiet place day and night. The only noise we heard was other occupants coming home late at night and it was really only a few seconds. Otherwise one of the quietest places we've stayed. Overall we loved it and would stay here again without question. Be sure you call ahead on arrival time. We left a note on expected arrival time on the web site as requested but it was confusing when we got here and there was no one here. We tried calling but got an answering machine.”

“Great location right in the city walking distance to bars, restaurants, shops, tourist attractions. Apartment we had was on the top floor so be warned you must carry your bags up the stairs as no lift. Apartment was very clean & comfortable with a small but well equiped kitchen with full size fridge. Metro supermarket approx 8 mins walk for groceries. Car parking was in a public car park (pass provided so no payment needed) but a little confusing as to which is the correct location perhaps if a map would have been provided would be helpful.”
