Checking in was a breeze and Phil was very friendly. I was in my room within minutes and blown away by the large size and beautiful decor.
I slept well on the bed which was a perfect firmness for my dodgy back, and there was very little to little traffic noise and light bleed.
Breakfast was great, Phil served up a full continental followed by a cooked breakfast. Many of the ingredients are made in house or from the back yard orchard, i really loved the home made breads :)
Overall if you are looking for a quiet location, and a beautiful building with friendly hosts then this is the one for you! I plan to revisit with my partner in summer, maybe rent their bikes for a bit of an adventure around nelson during the day and then enjoy the outdoor garden area with some cold drinks in the afternoons.
