There is no other property in the upper keys like the Islander. The rooms (which are super clean) are huge and have beautiful vaulted ceilings and giant windows overlooking your own private screened-in porch and patio. The pool area is beautiful and has two pools and a full restaurant that actually serves quality food and drinks. There’s a big beautiful beach area and water sports provided by the hotel onsite. definitely Recommend!

Loved the view from our room and the sitting area on the porch, pefect to watch the gorgeous sunrises. The pool was refreshing and very clean. The property is so peaceful as there are only 9 rooms. The birds provided daily entertainment and Lazy Days Restaurant is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The kitchen is fully equipped. One night we made steaks on the grill provided by the hotel (there are 3 of them). Bought the steaks from the Trading Post, it's just up the road from the hotel and is open 24 hrs.

The resort exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The hotel was absolutely great, the rooms was big and very comfortable, the pool was very nice and the beach had a very romantic touch. We also loved the beach bar and the food and the drinks were fantastic. We definitely want to come back to the Amara Cay Resort once again.
