We furnished the holiday home extensively, with many extras, so you will want for nothing. It is heated by underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove for the atmosphere (free wood can be found on the side of the house), which gives off a pleasant warmth. The stone house is of traditional Austrian construction and therefore well insulated, and therefore wonderfully warm in winter and cool in summer. The house is also equipped with integrated shutters, so the bedrooms can be darkened well. In the living room you can relax in the cozy sitting area and there is a 4K Smart TV with Netflix and Canal Digital. There is WiFi and free internet throughout the house. In the cupboards you will find games, puzzles, Duplo and other toys for the children, and there is also a sled. The modern kitchen is fully equipped: fridge, freezer, oven, induction cooker, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, Nespresso as well as a normal coffee maker, and a water boiler. There is a children’s chair for the dining table. Optionally, you can book a set of kitchen linen when booking. The large garden is south-facing with a swing and a sandpit that can be covered, and there is a large, partially covered terrace.

We are Coty and Jan van Rijssel, owners of holiday home Berghaus Edelhirsch (Berghuis Edelhert) in sunny and snow-sure Carinthia, at the border triangle (Dreiländereck) Austria – Italy – Slovenia. We enjoy it immensely ourselves, together with our children and grandchildren. The many opportunities to undertake activities, enjoy nature, visit Italy and Slovenia (not well known yet, but highly recommended!), the friendly people, the delicious food and the beautiful wines. Our holiday chalet is located at an altitude of 680 meters, in the village of Seltschach and 150 meters from the valley station with the chair lift that goes to top at the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Slovenia at an altitude of 1560 meters. It is a snow-sure destination, skiing is almost guaranteed in winter. In addition, there are other ski areas in the area for variety. Carinthia is known for its many beautifully situated mountain lakes and a unique landscape. A top travel destination where adventurers can push themselves to the limit and Burgundians can enjoy local specialties. And anything inbetween! Spending your holiday in Carinthia is enjoyable at any time of the year, due to the very diverse range of activities, culture and nature for young and old. For starters, we have the great climate on the south side of the Alps. You will be hard-pressed to find a place with more sunshine hours anywhere in Europe. The river valleys of the Drau and Gail are well-suited for cycling and walking. The rugged surroundings of the mountain ranges are full of hiking and walking trails and there are several organizations where you can go mountaineering or klettersteigern.
