Gain unencumbered access from your doorstep to the stunning Chilliwack River Valley, Cheam range, and Chilliwack Lake. Less than 15 mins to Cultus Lake. Endless alpine hiking & trail-running. World-class kayaking, rafting, and salmon fishing on the Chilliwack River. Minutes to mountain biking, canoeing, paragliding, mountaineering, caving, & more.
Our listed property has been in our family for over 30 years. I spent my teenage years in the Chilliwack River Valley, exploring the wilderness and learning how to cultivate a deeper respect for Mother Nature. I hiked. I biked. I paddled. I paraglided. I fished and I swam. Right now, I am a managing partner of a digital marketing firm called One Yellow Tree and the maintenance man for The Healing Oak Registered Massage Therapy. I am also a volunteer firefighter with the Chilliwack River Valley Fire Department. I live with my wife and 2 kids. We are a busy family but will make every effort wherever we can in order to visit with guests and give advice on local activities. Sometimes we can just relax and visit, and sometimes we're running to and fro just trying to help our kids grow up to become stellar human beings. We created this space as a way of meeting new and amazing people from all over the world. Our intent is to find a balance between getting to know you and giving you the space and privacy you want.
The neighbourhood is on a rural cul-de-sac. There is one main road (Chilliwack Lk Rd) that runs East and West through the valley. Chilliwack River is within walking distance, with the Tamihi rapids at approximately a 10 min walk away. The shoulders of the main road are wide, but cars do tend to drive fast, so caution should be taken if walking or cycling on it. Guests must have their own transportation as there is no access to public transport nearby. Taxi companies service our area, but we are 10kms from town, so expect a larger bill if using this option. Cyclists will find that the road is paved and there is a wide shoulder from Vedder bridge all the way to our property. The ride is beautiful, follows the river up the valley, and has a slight elevation gain as you head east.
