Santa Cruz is a bright and cheerful city. Its streets, promenades and seaside avenues invite you to enjoy the fresh air, walks and parks, as it has an average annual temperature of 21.2ºC. In the city centre there are many lively pedestrian areas, where shopping is a pleasure, especially because of the ease of finding products from all over the world. The most important historical buildings coexist with great contemporary architectural works, such as the Auditorio de Tenerife "Adán Martín", designed by Santiago Calatrava, located just a few metres from the house. Several museums are equally close by, including Tenerife Espacio de las Artes (TEA) and the Museum of Nature and Man. Although the largest permanent exhibition in the city is in the open air, with sculptures by Henry Moore, Martín Chirino, Joan Miró and Óscar Domínguez, among other artists. The picturesque Nuestra Señora de África Market is an undeniable attraction, where you can buy all the typical products of the islands. Its most famous and extensive beach is Playa de Las Teresitas, with golden sand, adorned with palm trees and located next to the fishing district of San Andrés, both a ten minute drive from the house.
