Villarcayo has limited appeal in itself but an easy size with local shops bars restaurants and garage with low priced fuel. However, it is convenient base for touring into the Cantabrian mountains, northern Spain and Euskadi (Basque) areas.

We arrived on bicycle via the Camino Natural Trail that is near the hotel and they stored our bikes in the garage which is this amazing cycle-rental center with beautifully maintained e-bikes.
