Score from 32 reviews Excellent
It was in a lovely area France, Chantilly is a lovely idyllic looking town, or at least at night. The hotel was in the middle of old and new. Go left for the retail park (the new) or go right into the town (the old). The room itself was clean enough. It had electric roller shutters to cut out the light. One of the ladies who worked there came over to help us with our dinner order, the food may of not been excellent but she was. She spoke very good English and was very nice to us.
We felt the lady who greeted us, was a bit rude. Could be left to interpretation. We got into the room, it was clean, but the bathroom... there was a smell coming from the sink, really vile, and the shower was broken. The room got a bit warm at night, the room had air con, but it was not working. They had a restaurant which we decided to eat dinner, steak and chips. Over priced for a bit of frying steak. We had paid for breakfast, and the pictures show a wonderful buffet. The cake is a lie. It was awful, coffee was cold, food was not fresh, all sweaty.
The price. The rooms were very spartan, but clean and reasonably comfortable.
We unfortunately decided to dine and have breakfast in the hotel. Most Campaniles have at least a decent starter buffet. This buffet @ Euro 9,90 was an insult. A few slices of dry sausage, some hard boiled eggs and the usual pots of coleslaw type of vegetables. No shellfish or any other smoked or pickled fish in sight. There was nothing that even remotely looked appetizing. The other courses were equally poor. Ditto for breakfast. cold coffee and very little choice for the price.
Good price for location Easy access / parking
Not functional wifi Poor heating Noisy environment Poor breakfast
Staff was extremely nice and helpful
Helpful staff, some good offers on dinner + breakfast.
Nowhere to put wash-bags in bathroom. Wet-rooms need efficient drainage to avoid soaking the floor. This was definitely not efficient and poorly ventilated. Signs of damp in bedroom.
Set in a very nice area.
The evening meal was worse than poor with half the menu unavailable, not even cheese. Wish we had used the supermarket next door.
Fast check-in/out. Clean. Nice design of rooms. Near forest - silent place with fresh air and singing birds.
Some problems with understanding English on reception. Small room. Away from bars/restaurants and palace (3km).
Very clean and comfy, great value for an overnight stay, staff at reception very helpful
Was on a type of mini industrial estate. Some of the lightbulbs had blown, the towel rail fell off, but when reported the next morning was offered coffee and croissants as compensation!
Had room for handicapped and bathroom was wet room leaving floor very wet. Only 2 towels, no floor mat. Room felt damp.
Clean rooms Nice staff Buffet evening meal very good
Location, price, modern, clean, convenient.
Staff, beds, dining room/lounge area, window shutters.
Food quite average, decor in rooms obviously nice when first done, now tired and need doing up.
Not far from the highway Very fast procedure of check-in and check-out. No passports are required. You can park your car right next to the door of your room. There is a markets and car washes near the hotel.
Not a lot
No normal buffet dinner of what campaniles are known for, seemed that they could not be bothered because not that busy, but then should ask why not busy weekend in August !
Not much, the bed was comfortable!
Smelt of damp and evidence of damp outside and in bathroom. Dowdy room, was booked as a superior room, don't think so!
Cleanliness and staff
Price, room was only fair
The young man who treated us very kindly in the morning and gave us free breakfasts, which are always good at Campanile.
The woman who signed us in and did not tell us the air conditioning was not working in our room at 34 degrees C ! When we discovered this and complained she said someone was going to repair it, but they did not. She also omitted to give us a security code and we nearly got locked out of the secure compound which surrounds the hotel when we returned from a meal out at 11 pm. The room was unbearable and we hardly slept at all.
Comfy bed nice shower. Chinese buffet near also a supermarket.
Room smelt of smoke. Maid broke shutter handle so we were in the dark in day time. Food buffet good but meals rather over cooked.
Location and food were very good.
Comfortable beds, good value for money.
Strange location in the middle of a business park!
This is clearly only 2 stars but it gets it's rating because it has a restaurant. Room cramped, small and very basic. Dinner was okay but nothing special in a stereotyped menu for the whole chain. In an unattractive part of town and beside a car wash.
Location was reasonable for walking to town, though bit too far for older people.
Food was terrible, apart from deserts. If you can't eat something you shouldn't be charged for it, but we were. Overall poor standard of English language considering it is described as an international hotel. Only saviour was lady waitress.Over-priced for what we got for acommodation.
It is worth every penny you've paid. For one person good enough. Very friendly staff. And if you have couple free hours, Cheateau de Chantilly not far from this plase.
Reception staff helpful. Jug for tea or coffee.
Being in room by stairs. Filter coffee and no espresso option with breakfast.
