Riverside is a substantial stone-built detached house standing in its own grounds of approximately 1 acre, in a quiet part of Huelgoat, and within easy walking distance of the town centre with all its amenities. Huelgoat is a great centre for cyclists, with quiet roads and beautiful vistas (and some challenging hills!). We offer secure, undercover storage for bicycles. The bedrooms and dining room were re-furbished in 2017, with new en-suite bathrooms installed, whilst retaining the character of the house, including the original chestnut flooring throughout.

Your hosts, Mark and John, bought the property in March 2016, and spent a year re-furbishing the property. We have been welcoming guests since May 2017, and continue to enjoy meeting new people from all over the world. It is always rewarding when our guests tell us that they have enjoyed their stay. Our aims are simple - comfort, cleanliness and good value.

Riverside is situated opposite the river that flows into the lake, about half a mile from the centre of Huelgoat, with its host of eateries, two boulangeries, a small supermarket, two banks, and a tourist information office. Huelgoat nestles beside the forest, which has many fine signposted walks leading the visitor to the fantastic chaos of massive boulders steeped in legend. Pony trekking and bicycle hire are available nearby, and fishing is allowed on the lake, with day fishing licences available from the D.I.Y. shop in the town square. Many people come to the area for the hiking opportunities. Mont St Michel is nearby, with its fantastic views over the surrounding area.
