We liked everything about Acorn lodge and will certainly recommend to friends and will be making a return visit ourselves.
The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in. The hosts could not do enough. Free Wi-Fi and free parking. Excellent breakfast.
We chose a standard room but would choose a superior in the future. The wash hand basin was too small with the result that water went over the floor.
Everything, booked to stay again.
Great location for the HIC and being able to walk to the shops The family running it are lovely and made our stay great. very welcoming and accommodating to our needs. Tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac (quiet)
We were made to feel very welcome at Acorn Lodge. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The room was very nicely done and well equipped. We would definately recommend the guesthouse to anyone visiting Harrogate.
the location was great with a short walk into town through a very pretty area. Our hosts were Phil and his wife - both very friendly and an amazing attention to detail with everything. Breakfast was 5 star with high quality food and a choice of just about everything. We are looking forward to a return visit.
nothing to dislike

fully functional bathroom but it was just a tad small.
very friendly and helpful owners. Lovely house, facilities and great breakfast
The owners, the food, presentation of rooms, parking, location were all excellent.
Location - central but very quiet Breakfasts, quality of food Owner Brian was an exceptional good host
En Suite - no heating or towel rail Having to decide breakfast option the night before
Acorn lodge is ideally situated for all of Harrogates shops, bars and restaurants. The hosts are warm, friendly and very welcoming, nothing seemed too much trouble for them. There is parking which is big plus for Harrogate and a great breakfast was served. Highly recommend a stay here.
friendliness and cleanliness and short walk to centre
Smart and homely room Comfy beds Beautiful lounge and breakfast room Staff were spot on, cared and welcoming making feel at ease. Super breakfast, a shame my better half missed out.

Very good location Staff very friendly and informative on local area comfortable room and very clean very nice breakfast
Spacious comfortable room, spotlessly clean. first class English breakfast, staff were very helpful I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Everything especially the reception by Granma and the little gritl of the owners
Location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from town centre. Ali, who runs Acorn Lodge with her husband Phil, was very welcoming. Unfortunately Phil was away, so we didnt get to meet him. The breakfast is nothing short of excellent, in quality as well as choice! Well done Ali! Ali also very kindly let us leave our car in her carpark after checking out on the Sunday, to allow us to spend a bit more time in Harrogate. Rooms are very clean and nice big towels!
The wifi in our room (6) simply didnt work. It connected but that was as far as it went. Not a massive issue, and it didnt affect our stay. However, if something is advertised, you kind of expect it to work. I found the bed and pillows a little hard for my liking. Late afternoon on the Saturday we found there to be no hot water. Wanting to get ready to go out for the evening this was more than a little annoying. Made worse by the fact that there was no one available to speak to, as Ali had gone out for the day. There was a number to ring but we figured out that there's only hot water morn and eve, and it had obviously all been used. We did start to get some warm water through but not until about 6.30, then is was just warm enough to have a quick shower. Being that our room is sold as "a small double made up for by having a large bathroom with a whirlpool bath" Not much point in having a whirlpool bath if there's only hot water at certain times. This wouldnt of been such an issue if we'd been informed of this. Having said all this, Ali was so lovely that I didnt mention it, and it hasnt put me off staying there again. Worth it for the breakfast alone!
The cleanliness of the hotel The welcome by Phil and Alison Always on hand to advise or help Breakfast was hot and well cooked Carried of bags up and down to our room, once he seen I had a knee problem
We should of asked for a first floor room.... I had a knee operation and we had two sets of stairs to climb No fault of Phil or Alison
good breakfast and famlily service
