The lobby is nice. Hotel is close to underground stations. The room was disgraceful. Old, stuffy, full of mold, dirty. Bathroom was so small you could not close the door once inside. Absolutely covered in fungi, peeling paint, cracked walls. Ceiling so low my head was constantly grazing the peeling, moldy paint. First time ever the reception did not ask how my stay was after staying in a hotel and I can see why they would not want to ask that questions.

Nothing, poor room, poor staff total waste of money First room was unclean,broken tiles,broken mirror,mould,dirty shower,second room was poor,broken and lose electrical socket,leaking bath,dirty fan,insecure window, fusty smell,hot and dusty. Had to clean bath before using it, third room was upgrade and after two days finally got what we paid for. Male member of staff was rude and dismissive and unhelpful. Room was nothing like the ones shown in ad,these are the ones they do not want you to see. Ordered to pay on credit card up front, two brandies and two coffees £19, no tariff in bar so they charge what they like, Rip off britain at it's worst Never again.

Friendliness of staff; good-sized room; room with bath; the overhead shower was amazing!; Ironing facilities; safe; staff very helpful and accommodating; free wi fi.Prices of restuarant meals were reasonable; however evening waiting staff seemed confused on personalised orders. I had requested a room with a bath on my online booking form as well as a follow up phone call the following evening as we were staying for 6 nights. However, on arrival we had been allocated a room with only a shower, despite booking 4 weeks in advance.However, on mentioning this to the staff on arrival we were upgraded to a club room with bath.The taxi fare from the hotel (arranged through the hotel) to Paddington station (half a mile away and at the end of our stay) was £15 without tip! No mention of this excessive charge on the brochure/information or offered when I requested the booking. It was just £4 including tip from the station to the hotel in a London cab..Lack of stationery and pen in the hotel room - would help visitors planning trips. Lack of maps etc info on tourist attractions; tube maps etc in foyer or rooms;

The location, the rate & state of cleanliness - general convenience. Good value. Service was less than friendly. Concierge was always busy & so waiting in line to access bags etc was not ideal given that we had family waiting.

It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, in London. Just the night before I stayed in a 2 star hotel in Bloomsbury which was delightful. Your hotel was grubby, the shower wouldn't go on, and when it eventually did it wouldn't go off again - had to call reception. Tiny twin room , claustrophobic with grotty bathroom - ugh! It seems to me that the hotel is purely a nice facade.........the receptionist didn't ask me how my stay was - I wonder why? I would also suggest you employ an interior designer that isn't colour blind and tastless.

Lovely hotel, staff very efficient and friendly, everywhere very clean. Terrace at front of hotel had tables and chairs so ideal for relaxing drink in the sunshine. Superb location in a lovely quiet upmarket area but just 5 minutes away from shops and restaurants. Breakfast buffet a disappointment - tinned mushrooms, and was luke warm, overcooked scrambled egg. Unfortunately those of our party at the back of the hotel got no sleep whatsoever owing to building works which commenced at 2330. These rooms should not have been let - especially room 414 - my daughter had to work the next day and was shattered.

The room was new so everything was in great condition and worked properly. We had a club room - plenty of room for two adults and a weeks worth of clothes and luggage. The bathroom is very modern and functional but there is not enough lighting. You provide a magnifying mirror but it does not serve any purpose effectively because there isn't enough light to see into it. Also the position of the thermostat made it difficult to read - not enough light . We needed to use our cell phone as a flashlight to read the lcd screen on the thermostat. Tethering the hairdryer to a drawer makes it difficult to use - especially for taller people - and just seems silly. If someone swipes the hairdryer, charge their card for it. Finally, there were some issues with the fire alarm in the middle of one night during our stay. We were repeatedly awoken by the fire alarm. It was very unnerving and eventually killed any chance of getting a decent night's sleep. I was a bit surprised that the hotel made no attempt to apologize for it unless they were asked about it.

The location was excellent, short walk to the subway station and near Kensington Park. The room was quite comfortable and WiFi was good. The breakfast variety needs improvement. Stayed for a week and it was the same menu daily; kinda boring.

Clean tidy rooms. Good working airco. Good beds. The breakfast could need a touch-up. The continental breakfast is very basic. I have seen better breakfast fascilities in other hotels. A bit out of class considering the rest was superb.

The rooms were modern and comfortable although the full room rate of £475 is far too expensive for what you get. I paid £149 booked on the internet. The location was really good for our London break. Although the rooms had just been refurbished they were still quite small. We had a club room and I cannot imagine what you could leave out for a std room. There was no hooks or shelves in the bathroom or shower which we thought was really poor. The continetal breakfast was ok although not great but the cooked food was very poor. We went down to breakfast at about 09.20 and found the bacon, sausages and hash browns unedible as they had obviously been cooked a long tome before and gone hard under the lights. I filled up on toast

I liked the fact it felt like a bedroom at my own home growing up. I was a single traveler and the room was small and cosy. I also loved the white duvet on the bed and strong water flow for a nice hot shower, breakfast was included; as well as the option of dining in the hotel; reasonably inexpensive for the total rate you pay. Bed was a bit stiff but slept well anyway.

Central location for easy access to all the sights and attractions/shops of london. Bus stop and open top bus tour stops at the top of road. Underground station was a 10 minute walk.. We were upgraded on arrival to a very spacious room which was very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Free and reliable wifi ; nice breakfast. Slow processes at the reception desk ; queuing to check in. 20 pound deposit ; pay room before stay. Cancellation policy (no cancellation even a few days before, room sold twice). Clumsy invoice system (2 rooms but a single invoice).

Location, facilities pre/post checkout. Check-in time is very late (15.00) if you compare it with other hotels and with Blakemore's check-out time limit (11.00).

We received an upgrade which gave us more space and was most welcomed however our evening meal at the hotel was very average in quality.The Blakemore is a little tucked away and requires a good 10 minute walk to locate the Tube.Hotel bar prices were reasonable and staff attention was good when required
