Nothing, poor room, poor staff total waste of money First room was unclean, broken tiles, broken mirror, mould, dirty shower, second room was poor, broken and lose electrical socket, leaking bath, dirty fan, insecure window, fusty smell, hot and dusty. Had to clean bath before using it, third room was upgrade and after two days finally got what we paid for. Male member of staff was rude and dismissive and unhelpful. Room was nothing like the ones shown in ad,these are the ones they do not want you to see. Ordered to pay on credit card up front, two brandies and two coffees £19, no tariff in bar so they charge what they like, Rip off britain at it's worst Never again.

The room was new so everything was in great condition and worked properly. We had a club room - plenty of room for two adults and a weeks worth of clothes and luggage. The bathroom is very modern and functional but there is not enough lighting. You provide a magnifying mirror but it does not serve any purpose effectively because there isn't enough light to see into it. Also the position of the thermostat made it difficult to read - not enough light . We needed to use our cell phone as a flashlight to read the lcd screen on the thermostat. Tethering the hairdryer to a drawer makes it difficult to use - especially for taller people - and just seems silly. If someone swipes the hairdryer, charge their card for it. Finally, there were some issues with the fire alarm in the middle of one night during our stay. We were repeatedly awoken by the fire alarm. It was very unnerving and eventually killed any chance of getting a decent night's sleep. I was a bit surprised that the hotel made no attempt to apologize for it unless they were asked about it.

The street was noisy in early morning for trash collection I guess and the room did not have enough insulation against noise.

The staff are very helpful and friendly; and show an interest in making guests feel welcomed. Unlike other hotels, staff at Blakemore make an effort to smile and greet guests as they enter or leave the hotel. Staff at the breakfast room are professional and friendly as well. The hotel is located in a nice residential neighbourhood with several other small hotels around. The streets are neither too busy nor deserted. But one night on my way back from Paddington Station, I encountered three people impersonating a tourist and policemen along Craven Hill Gardens, who tried to cheat me of my passport. When I returned to the hotel and told a staff at the reception, she took the initiative to call the police and helped me report the matter. When I checked out 4 days later, she was on duty that day and remembered and asked after me. That was really nice of her. I would stay in Blakemore Hyde Park again in future and wouldn't associate the police impersonation incident with the safety of the location or quality of the hotel. The hotel housekeeping could cut some costs and be more environmentally friendly by not removing (presumably throwing away) soap bars and other toiletries daily. I came back one day to find my flip flops and other small items placed on top of my luggage. I had left my flip flops on the floor and the other smaller items on a table. It wasn't pleasant to find them all on my luggage, especially with the footwear.

In the lst couple of months I have been travelling to the UK for medical reasons and have stayed at a number of 4 star hotels in the London area. I rate the Blakemore as one of the best, if not the best. Fortunately, I do not have to return to London for medical reasons, but if i had to I would definitely consider returning to the hotel. I feel that it is such a pity that I stayed at the Blakemore on my last visit instead of my first visit, as I would not have had to put up with the poor service offered in some of the more reknown hotels I stayed in.

We took a junior suite and this was a very large and comfortable room, furniture and bathroom were very modern and the shower was excellent, the hotel cooked breakfast was very good with a large choice. The room had all the necessary luxuries for bathrobes and bathroom stuff, large screen TV and associated room gadgets. Staff were courteous and friendly all the time. Its also very close to a massive range of local restaurants including Queensway tube station. Plus a very good pub at the end of the Road with good sit down food options. Would class the hotel as one of London's hidden gems as I had nothing to moan about for a whole week.

On the surface this looks to be a nice hotel. However, when you actually stay there a lot of cracks appear beneath the surface! The. Rooms come with mini bars but they are all empty?? Several people asked at reception if they could be stocked but all were refused?? The floor manager when asked why by Americans and others said "because that's the way it is" this man should never be in any service industry! Mosly the other staff were East European and although it was not their fault, the level of service was inept to say the least. Every request from guests was met with a sharp no. Strong advice, do not stay here.

The location was fantastic convenient for the buses as well as the Central Line. A 2 minute walk from Hyde Park. Beautiful room, nice street, extremely comfortable. No bath but it didn't matter as it had a large shower with a 'rainfall' head - lovely!

It was a clean hotel, very well located: just in front of Hyde Park, near Central Line subway station, close to Oxford street. Free internet access (wi-fi) in the room was of a big support and substantial contribution for us. We treated it as a good discount from quite a high price of the room Price was a bit too high, though not the highest in this area

comfortable beds, pleasant room, staff helpful. Upgrade in breakfast was not as expected. Coffee - suspect - instant from urn. Milk from urn. tinned fruit rather than fresh. poor quality sausage, low quality plastic potted jams and marmalade. One of the pleasures and objective in staying in a quality hotel is the breakfast and enjoyment of coffee supplied but the Blakemore fell far below our expectations and not a hotel we shall be frequenting in the future.

I was not impressed with the service provided for the price we paid. A week prior we stayed at the Crowne Plaza for much less and had received execptional service, including wide choice at breakfast.

The beds were incredibly comfortable (best night's sleep we had in ages) and the power shower was great (the best I've ever used): easy to operate and lots of hot water (not just a trickle like some places). Rooms were very clean and had iron, ironing board and a good hairdryer, as well as a modern flat screen TV. It was a bit expensive but I guess that's because of its close proximity to nearby Hyde Park. The hotel had a nice, friendly feel to it and we will definitely stay here again. The bedroom was small and the bathroom was tiny, with no towel rail. Breakfast food was taken away five minutes after the serving time ended, meaning that customers who arrived for breakfast towards the end of serving time did not have much time to go back up and choose anything else to eat.

The hotel was very presentable, our triple room was huge, the location was fantastic - central London, but down a quiet road so you wouldn't know it was so central. The tube stations were a short walk away making everywhere accessible. The upgrade from Continental breakfast to full English breakfast, most hotels offer this as standard.

Great Location, close to major shopping and city night life, yet in a quiet upmarket area. Central line tube station 2 minutes away making access to oxford/bond/regent streets easy. Friendly helpful staff. Spacious and comfortable rooms and more importantly very clean. Overall, excellent value for money. Only one lift.
