The hotel is ok for a discounted rate of up to 60 pounds for a single room (or about 70 pounds for double). You should expect 2 stars hotel. Hotel location is very good, close to queensway road and queensway and Bayswater tube stations. The continental breakfast is ok. Nice lobby and restaurant.

Rooms and the bathrooms are very old and tiny. Back of the hotel (room 328 for example) is just over the tube railway which might be annoying if you are sensitive to noise. Strong smell of chlorine in the rooms. The water steem is very low in the bathroom.

The hotel is very close to 2 tube stations which makes getting into central London very easy - also there are a lot of excellent retaurants and shops close by.

The room was incredibly hot and when I mentioned this the staff did not seem too bothered - this was due to the window being locked to prevent it being opened more than a tiny gap. Also, my main reason for choosing this hotel was the fact that it had a lift - it was broken for most of the time I was there and no alternative was available so my disabled mother had to struggle up and downstairs.

The general areas of lobby and dining room are well kept and functional

The room is very basic and a very poor value for money, the concierge is bluntly unhelpful!

The location was very good and close to transportation

Too much noise in the area due to traffic and local construction. The
hotel is not sound proofed and you hear the rooms above and hall way
noise quite clearly. There is no airconditioning and the windows have a
stop so they cannot be opened enough to let air in. This is probably
done to prevent people from falling out of the window. The sink is in
the room and it's location is awkward for washing.

It was reasonably comfortable and quite adequate for our short term needs.

We found a particular concierge rather sarcastic and reluctant when we pointed out that neither the fan nor the electric jug in our room worked.

Location was excellent. Staff were charming and pleasant and very helpful. Room was always cleaned promptly.

Room was stuffy, no air conditioning or ability to open or close windows; bathroom was very ordinary with old plumbing; decor needs renewing (but we were in an unrenovated room and they're doing work and these things might improve). In a continental breakfast, yoghurt, fruit and porridge should be included (not excluded as part of hot breakfast); Toaster needs replacing.

Very convenient to underground, hop on hop off tour buses, and shops and restaurants
