This is a small studio flat with a separate bathroom with a shower and kitchen. The view is of a small garden and other buildings, but it is surprisingly peaceful and quiet, given it's location in the busy city of London. The area is safe to walk through during the day or night. The single king sized bed is in an alcove more than a bedroom of its own, which makes the flat a perfect pied a terre. There is an inflatable mattress but no sofa bed or second bedroom. Water, electricity, and all other general bills are included. N.B. If you request a booking then write a question in the request, the Booking dot com system will not allow me respond until you have agreed to the booking. You can accept the booking, send me a message, and then cancel your booking later, but please do not think that I am ignoring you!

An old family native British Islander with family across Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England, I enjoy a friendly chat and a cup of tea. My mother lives in the next door building and people often find in her a welcoming and entertaining person, whether to borrow a book or to ask for a little help when I am not around. I speak French and Italian, she speaks French, German, Italian and Swahili. Should you need to print out an important document during your stay, leave your keys or luggage somewhere safe, get your dry cleaning sorted, or just to get to know some locals and hear the odd story of African safaris and country life, one of us is usually around and the kettle is always full.

The ideal place for those coming or going from Heathrow by tube or Gatwick via nearby Victoria Station, the Kings Road is a well known shopping area where you can "Cruise the KR", the glamorous Kings Road, with it's shops, coffee shops, churches, and farmers markets. Once upon a time it was the King's road to from his London palaces. Within walking distance are Battersea Park, the Royal Geographical Society, the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and lots more. London contains an outlet for any and every interest a person might have, from theatre shows to Winter Wonderland. The tube at South Kensington and Sloane Square will get you anywhere in the city within the hour, including the City of London and Canary Wharf. Chelsea contains beautiful red brick Georgian architecture being the oldest and most traditional parts of residential London. For those visiting the UK more widely, it is most ideally situated for those who would like to leave the city westward by car or train towards the Cotswolds, the West Country, Stone Henge, Highgrove, Highclere, Wales and Cornwall. In general, it is advisable to travel outside of London by train or car, but in London it is better to use the comprehensive network of underground, overground, black cabs/uber, buses, Boris bikes and river boats.
